Take a look at your Waypoint Career; it now shows 423 total Achievements for the Halo series, which is up from the 373 it showed just a few days ago. What are these 50 new Achievements? Spartan Assault only has 20, so it can’t be that.

I was also wondering if 343i has begun tracking Achievements for the PC version of Halo 2, but that seems unlikely because that game has 41 Achievements.
I just checked to confirm that the Achievements from the PC version of Halo 2 are not being tracked at this time, which means that all 50 of these Achievements are unattainable at this point. I’m very curious as to what game(s) they’re going to be from.

They sure as hell better not count SA achievements if they aren’t going to count H2…

In my personal opinion, only the Xbox games should be counted. If H2A ever comes to fruition, then every proper Halo game will be counted because, let’s face it, SA is not a proper Halo game.
I just checked the Service Record of someone who got SA early, and I can confirm that SA is now being counted toward your Waypoint Milestones.
Bearing in mind that the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 versions of SA actually have separate Achievement lists for some reason, the most likely explanation at this point seems to be that these 50 mystery Achievements are broken down as follows:

20 from the Windows 8 version of SA
-
20 from the Windows Phone 8 Version of SA
-
10 from DLC (either 10 from the Champions Bundle to bring H4 up to 2000 Gamerscore to match GoW3 or 5 from each version of SA for the inevitable DLC)
Can someone from 343i confirm?
Has anyone elses Waypoint Career droped? Mine was 93, now it has droped to 49. Looking at each game Waypoint is telling me that I have not earned any achievements in ODST, Reach, Halo:CEA and 4. My states for the games are still showing up and I still have the achievemnts on my Xbox Profile. I don’t quite know what is going on and I am assuming that it has something to do with the addition of these 50 new achievements. But anywho, I just wanted to know if anyone else was having the same issue.

Also one more thing, I am still hoping that Halo 2 PC achievements will added to Waypoint! The fact that the Halo:SA achievements are being added to Waypoint is a small glimmer of hope that Halo 2 PC could be added. I say this because Halo:SA being added nullifies Waypoints original argument for the Halo 2 PC achievements not being add. The argument being that Waypoint only wanted to count games on the Xbox platform(s), that adding Halo 2 PC would be unfair to Xbox only gamers.

It is a proper Halo game, that it is not an FPS doesnt have anything to do with it, Halo Wars was not an FPS and the achievements still counted towards your waypoint career.
So as harsh as it might be for some people H SA is a proper Halo game, it also keeps in line witht he story between H3 and H4.

Yeah the spartan assault achievements are listed twice, is this supposed to happen? Shouldn’t both the PC and mobile game be considered the same since its the same thing?
Also I only see 413 achievements on my waypoint career.

The games intentionally have a separate achievement list

Really? That is silly haha. Oh well I guess my Waypoint career won’t be 100% anymore. I’ll always have 100% Xbox Achievements though.
I have every Halo achievement but don’t have a Windows Phone 8. I wish they wouldn’t do the separate achievement list. I just don’t have the spare money to go out and buy a new phone to keep up with my hobby. Maybe down the road in a few years I can pick up a windows phone for cheap I guess. Just hate missing those 20 achievements

Same here. They didn’t include halo 2 vista but they included two separate versions of spartan assault? Seems silly to me. Oh well. Maybe one day I’ll get a windows phone.

I have 413 as well. They had the new Halo 4 dlc achievements up for a while. 10 of them. I also found a Nokia Lumia 521 on sale for 99.99. May wait until cyber monday later on in the year and get it for a deal hopefully.
Yep, I’m now stuck at 393/413… Looks like those crummy doubles do count from the Halo Spartan Assault Windows 8 Phone edition- I’ve always been a big advocate of 343i including Halo 2 Vista achievements (which I have them all), however including double achievements on Spartan Assault is simply asinine/unacceptable to me. Simple solution to me would be to cut out the doubles quickly and insert the Halo 2 Vista achievements in their place!! Even if I had a Windows 8 Phone, which I’ll never get, I would also never want to play the entire Halo Spartan Assault game over from square one… Come on 343i, remove the duplicate achievements and add Halo 2 Vista while you’re at it.
