Congrats 343, you clearly made a game that has gained a lot of traction and introduced many new gamers to the franchise. Halo is back in the limelight. There are still issues with the game and improvements will take time, but these numbers show just how well you guys nailed the gameplay. Great job!

Are you sure about that? Last I looked it was number 3 behind Fortnite and Cod Warzone. Where are you getting this information?
They certainly had a lot of help from Battlefield having possibly the worst start a game could have and vanguard for being just another annoying call of duty game. The bar was not set very high.

Awesome. On the Xbox dashboard where it shows the most popular games, Fortnite is #1 and Warzone #2, but they may be accounting for PC players. If this is for console only I will certainly take it. We need all the players we can get.
Yup agreed. I’ve messaged the team asking if this includes PC players using Xbox game pass on PC. Haven’t heard response just yet.
Not sure how Microsoft gets their stats, but this site logs in total amount of playtime across all Xbox users over the course of the week. Maybe on Xbox itself it shows what is most popular at that moment.
I didn’t think about that. All it shows is just the games with no other data. Either way, bravo 343, as we haven’t been this high in popularity since Reach launched.

It’s free. To get into Halo 5 multiplayer on launch you had to pay 60 bucks.

Even as barebones as the game is right now among the other issues that are in the game right now, this is the most fun I’ve had in Halo in a while (even other online shooters to be honest but that’s just me) and I think a lot of people are in the same boat as me. The game has so much potential and I am really excited to see where the game goes, after all the current issues are rectified of course.
