Even though rank is hidden in Halo 4, there are still going to be ways to judge someone’s skill based on
-
Service Record- There’s still going to be a K/D listed, by now, everyone should know that when their searching, like in Reach, there’s always that one person who judges you on K/D, so starting H4, you should now know to keep you K/D intact.
-
Leaderboards- There’s always a site like HaloTracker and Waypoint itself which list players in numerical order based on skill and whatnot, but I doubt waypoint will implement that.
-
Hidden Rank- Guys, just because a rank is hidden doesn’t mean YOU won’t be able to see it. There’s always that 1 person in the searching lobby that starts to talk trash and will start bragging about his rank even though you can’t see it yourself.
4)POINTS SYSTEM- This, I think will be the most profound way to judge someone’s skill performance. This points system adds up in game based on your kills, headshots, pummels, assassinations , assists and medals etc. This was in Reach’s Arena Playlist where players were rated instead of giving points. This I think is the best way to base some one on their skill performance.
Maybe their overall rating/points for that playlist will be on their nametag like in Arena.
Satisfied? There’s still a way.
There’s only one way you can tell how good somebody is; by playing them.
… so you’re saying that you believe those methods are going to be enough so you can use them to stat-attack someone?
Kill-to-death ratio is not very reliable. Not exactly representative… Point one null.
A site like halo charts would use their own algorithms hey, several sites can have many results! Not exactly accurate. Point two null.
Mute him very fast. Point three null.
Why would they keep it hidden but have something like that visible in the lobby? Doesn’t make much sense. Point four null.
There’s a 5th way: Look at their Halo 3 stats.
Yes, last but not least by playing them.

Not reliable, because people improve over time.

- A kid with a 2.0 k/d in grifball, and a kid with a 1.5 k/d in MLG. I wonder which is better?
2)Let me just hop on my computer and find all 4 of my opponents on my computer before we leave the pre game lobby.
-
Your reason of backing a hidden rank is that its hidden. wut?
-
Early season of Arena showed individual stats in team games never tells the wholt story. Oh, and I know how many points they have do I?
> There’s a 5th way: Look at their Halo 3 stats.
No, it’s just what Idk said. I was younger and a bit nooby, but I’ve gotten a better understanding of the game. If I got back on halo 3 again, I would be much better.
People need to stop referring to halo 3 as the all skill pass. I can understand you saying that if you still play it …
There will probably be ways, but 343i should just change their ludicrous decision on the invisible ranks. This is literally the worst news I’ve had from halo 4.
haha I love #3! It’s also very true. There inevitably will be people like that.

Game mechanics change.
Okay.
Now tell me why I should care what the ranks of random people are.
