Whoa, spooky. This is the exact same question that I just finished posting!
What I don’t get is how someone could say that a 14 shot clip on the DMR allows you to kill only two people just like the BR when the BR can kill 3 people with it’s 12 shots. So shouldn’t the DMR have 15 shots in its clip so it can kill three people too? Unless the BR is a 5 shot kill now…

The Battle Rifle is a five shot kill and has been since the E3 build.
> The DMR was reduced to 14 shots so it would be balanced out compared to the Battle Rifle when it is a five shot kill.

Ah. Thank you.
On a side note–that’s a bummer. I was pretty excited for the return of the 4 shot kill even though I was never really good at it. It was fun to pull it off.

Wish they made it so they could both kill 3 people just barely, meaning the BR would be 4-shot again. I don’t like seeing any slower kill times than Halo 3…
> With the 5-shot BR, the DMR had a 0.4 kill time faster than it. It had longer range and kill faster than the BR. Seems overpowered to me.
No, it just means that the BR is too weak. If the BR was a 4sk, it would be able to keep up. The Halo 4 BR also has spread, which means that a 4sk wouldn’t be too strong.

Yeh that’s what I meant. Seems unfair that the BR stayed a 4-shot. Could have made the DMR have a 14-shot clip, and the BR could have 32. Both would be able to kill only 2 people, and would have balanced kill times.

That’s great and all, but I hope they found a way to balance it since the E3 build. Last time I checked it had a kill time that was 0.4s less than the DMR. If that’s true than what’s the point of the BR if the DMR can kill faster and at longer range?

There were multiple people doing kill time comparisons after the E3 footage came out, we had 0.4 seconds faster, 0.2 seconds faster and a lot more.
Different results = someone is wrong, we don’t know who.
