Stop matching me up against a team of four when I go in to match making alone. Its getting ridiculous. Not only am I being matched against teams of four, but I’m also being paired with people who are usually 2-3 tiers below my own which makes for a very unfair game, especially considering the fact that the entire other team is ranked on my own level. At least do me the justice and provide teammates who don’t twiddle their thumbs, play like they’re using their feet instead of hands, and give away free kills.
Ya I agree 343 needs to add a separate rank for your squad and one for solo queuing.
Not sure that would work because there’s no way to differentiate between the two. I could invite 3 other people I played with randomly in some warzone game and could have no clue how they play, they might not have mics, etc. Wouldn’t we be considered random?

Would you be considered a group of randoms? The simple answer to that is no.
You deliberately went out of your way to create a scenario in which your team still seemed to be composed of randoms, however, you are no longer a group of randoms after choosing (<-- Key Word) who you’d start match making with. It’s not my or anyone else problem that you chose to team up with a group of people who exclusively play warzone, have no mics, and who’s play-styles might be incompatible with your own, but that’s the team you chose and therefore can no longer be considered random. Please remember, the key word here is choose or chose and that YOU CHOSE YOUR TEAM. When I queue up solo, I have no choice in who I’ll be paired with, and I’d very much like the other team to have no choice either.

exactly. you shouldnt be matched against anything more than a single party of 2 and two randoms.
parties of 2 can match 3s and other 2s.
3s can match two 2s, 3s, and 4s
4s match 3s and 4s.
It’s your fault. You’re choosing to go in with the odds stacked against you. Always expect to play full teams and always expect your random partners to be garbage.
get a team man
Has Halo ever been done any other way? You get matched up with groups or Randos at random. Sometimes you get lucky and beat the premade group. Should they complain that you got randomly paired with better players?

Well you chose to go into a team playlist solo. That is the main issue. Sure party restrictions are very loose, but it’s my fault for joining in a team game with just myself or 1 buddy of mine.
It’s not always possible to find a team, my friends list is considerably small. I’ve tried to find people to play with in the past, even on this forum, to no avail. To claim that you’ve never felt the same way I feel, not even once, would likely be untrue.

Been Looking for one ever since I started playing. Thought I found one a few weeks back, but they ended up disbanding after losing one game on GB.

I’m confident in saying that in my experience, 7-8 times out of 10, the team of randoms will not beat an organized and competent team. I typically play in the onyx tier and so teams I playing against are usually not push overs. This might not be true for the lower tiers. Regarding your question, no, they shouldn’t be upset. As a team, losing to a group of randoms is a clear indicator that your team needs more practice to resolve the issue that caused you to lose.

So you’re suggesting that I avoid 5/6 of the multiplayer aspect of the game since I don’t have a regular team to play with? Are you suggesting that I only play FFA because I can’t find a team even though I’m actively looking for one every day? That’d be a very asinine suggestion to make. Just saying.
The problem is that you would see longer wait times for MM and people would then complain about that (because this community LOOOVVVEES to complain). Besides, this Halo is all about teamwork so you should look for other people to run with and stop blaming the game for your decision to play alone.

I thought I should I also quote myself to remind everyone about the other issue I’m having with playing with randoms against an organized team. I wouldn’t have an issue if the randoms I’m paired with were equal level with my own, but that is almost never the case.
The problem here is poor communication. Four randoms working together might stand a chance against an established fireteam. Might.

You obviously haven’t taken the time to read any of my posts. I am actively searching for a team/regular group of people to play with, but have been unable to find people, even after making posts on this website. I’d appreciate it next time if you took the time to actually read before responding.
Anyway, I personally would have no issue with longer wait times if it meant higher quality games. Back in H3 there was an option to filter through players using a “close to skill level” option. This almost always guaranteed high quality matches regardless of queuing option chosen (solo or with team).

Nope, not suggesting any of that. Just saying you chose to go into a ream playlist (Onyx), where people usually play as a team. Most Onyx players play as a team, because of what you have described. My brother and I join in just the two of us in the 4v4 playlists and play against 4 man teams that are Onyx and Champions. We usually lose, but we are at a disadvantage because of not joining in with a full team. With lower ranks you see less of this, because more people are searching in that rank. Because we are in the Onyx ranks, there are only a limited amount of people that are playing within that rank, which is why you see teams play randoms more often then not.
Feel free to add me, I’m always looking for people to play with. i Crysis L.

You are arguing semantics. Just because someone chooses to play with someone else, doesn’t give your team has an automatic advantage. The scenario he explained isn’t the issue. The issue is that full parties of skilled players can go in and stop on 4 randomly matched players, which can be countered by a lone wolf searching mechanism. Luckily, I don’t run into parties too often. It’s also helpful that the first 10 games individually rank you so that the teams of 4 still have to perform well in order to be put in the same rank after it’s all said and done.

I agree with you. I do believe that a team of randoms can sometime win against a team, but that doesn’t happen very often, at least not in my experience. However, a lot of times players don’t have a mic, won’t plug one in, or they’re in party chat.

Very confused as to where you stand. I do agree with you’re “lone wolves” searching option though.

My brother and I are on pretty much daily and we’re always looking for other team mates to get a good group of 4 going. Seems harder this time around to get a good team going. Tried to find a fireteam but didn’t work out. Hit me up and friend me and we’ll play.

Not saying you aren’t being truthful but I looked at the last few of your games then your Opponents Games and they weren’t teamed. Just saying.
