Has there been an update about this for CE or 2?

This has been repeated over and over on these forums. I’ve never seen an official 343 comment on it.
Co-Op crashes and is unstable with what we have today. It would be interesting to have but I don’t see 343 doing it.

not that i’m aware of. if they had, it must have been a brief mention sometime in 2021, maybe early 2022. i don’t think it’s coming in any official capacity, though. our best bet is a mod at this point.
It’s definitely not coming.
Honestly, I would prefer the devs implement rally points in Halo: CE and Halo 2: Classic over 4-player co-op imo.
I feel like it would be the more feasible feature to add and help to make achievement hunting less of a grind.

It’s not coming when we never got local co op for infinite than we aren’t getting 4 player on ce or 2
First they need to make 4 player coop on 3 onwards stable.

Back in late 2020, “Postums” at the time commented on a question from the community in a blog post on here about bringing in 4 player coop to Halo CE and 2 at the time as it would be further down the list of priorities to bring this into the game. Since its been over two years now, not honestly sure anymore if this is happening. With how little they have added to Halo 2 netcode in general by this point, not honestly sure if were getting anymore updates now with the layoff last month and also the message of the day in game has more or less stopped getting updates. Its really unclear at this point whats happening to the MCC now.
