4 Long Years

So caption cutter said 5 long years in the battle for Harvest. Well it took me about 4 long years but I finally made it to General in Halo Wars. That completes all of the Halo achievements on Xbox 360 and gives me the max Waypoint career rank.

So happy to finally complete it, so much relief and so much enjoyment.

come play with me =]

Congrats. I still need 310,000 before I’m general but I keep getting paired with the most moronic, least strategic teammates of all time.

If you’re free to play, care to party up or help boost?

Ban the guy above me for promoting boosting, please.

Boosting is not a bannable offense nor is it against the rules. If you have an issue, instead of making a post , use the report button instead.

You must be new here. Boosting is in no way a violation of the forum rules. I’d strongly advise you to practice what you preach before you mouth off and point your finger at others like a hypocrite.

You asking in another thread to party up to get the campaign achievements is no different than me looking for a teammate to play 2v2 arranged or wanting them to help me rush to general.

Partying up to complete campaign and get achievements = purposefully matching each other to cheat for score?

You’re an idiot.

Feel free to elaborate on how they’re different. Oh right, you can’t because they’re not.

You’re saying I’m an “idiot” for using a different method to earn my achievements? By your own logic you’d also be one for partying up to earn the co-op ones. If you weren’t a cheapskate you’d buy two 360s, two TVs, two copies of the game and two subscription fees to LIVE so you could earn it without any form of outside help. In other words:

“Quit taking shortcuts, lowlife.”

That little bit sums up your mentality quite well. Just because a certain method doesn’t appeal to your naive and bigoted sense of pride, doesn’t make it any less viable. Given your narrow-minded attitude and inability to give more than two sentence replies, your daily life must be impossibly difficult.

Not answering my question, eh? That’s what I thought, you can’t even stand by your own faulty reasoning. Guess you aren’t a real man because you didn’t earn your cheevos the “right” way. Speaking of which…

Your Gamerscore: 825
My Gamerscore: 27,860

And you’re lecturing me on how to earn achievements? Let me guess, you’re one of those 10 year olds who had mommy and daddy buy you a 360 last Christmas. It’s a wonder you’re even able to turn it on, let alone operate a PC. Oh that’s right, your parents do it for you. You need their permission to play M-rated games and access the internet.

So on top of not being able to fight back when your argument falls apart, I appreciate you solidifying your position as a bottom-feeding troll who was looking for a quick fix. Here’s some advice for you, kid. Head back to Youtube and polish your trolling. Otherwise you’ll just get outed and smacked down like you were now. xD

Well that escalated quickly

Trolling will not be tolerated so I reported him.

Congratz, man! I’m the 2 star rank (I haven’t played it in a while so I’ve forgotten what rank it is), so I’m a long way off of general.

firstly, dont ever brag about your gamerscore period, especially not to someone on halowars, who in all likelyhood is using a different account, secondly the two of you are clearly not using the same definition of boosting here, Alien is referring to a form of boosting that is related to true skill ranking in matchmaking that allows a player to increase their true skill illegitimately by playing with players of lower trueskill, and while cannot be completely avoided is taboo amongst the high level community,

phoenix’s definition of boosting…not sure what it is but the two meanings are clearly not synonymous

You’re a day late to the party, bro. A party I already had closed.

I only brought up gamerscore for the sake of the argument. I don’t care about the number, just completing it for completion’s sake. But for the record I do not condone boosting to raise TS. There’s a big difference between wanting help solely to earn a cheevo and purposely boosting to get a higher position.

There is no “right” way to earn achievements. I’ve partied up since Halo 3 in order to acquire some of the difficult, luck-based cheevos. There are many ways to go about acquiring them and they have no adverse effect on matchmaking or the community once earned. On the flip side, deliberately cheating the system to improve leaderboard standings has negative effects on everyone playing the game. It is something I am against and should be considered a violation by everyone.
