4 important customization topics that are not discussed in the Season 1 Outcomes Report

  1. Armor and helmet attachments are unaffected by armor coatings: In game pretty much all armor and helmet attachments stay gray, even after applying armor coatings. There are two exceptions: On the Mark V(b) core you can wear Jorge’s chest attachment with Jorge’s armor coating and it will give the correct colors of the chest attachment. The same applies for wearing Jun’s scarf and Jun’s armor coating. This tells us that it IS indeed possible for armor/helmet attachments to be affected by armor coatings. Only that for some reason this “switch” is only turned on for Jorge and Jun armor attachment + armor coating combination. 343, please turn this on for ALL armor coatings. Right now chest attachments and bigger helmet attachments only look good on gray armor coatings.

  2. Clean & New vs. Dirty & Worn armor: Right now only HCS team kits and exclusive coatings like Deathly Poison, Red Shift, Zeta Sky and Northwest Sky are clean & new. All other armor coatings are dirty & worn. It feels like a no-brainer that players get the option in the customization menu where they can select if they want armor to be clean & new or dirty & worn. In the Season 1 Outcomes Report 343 stated that they will “fix” Red Shift and make it dirty & worn. Something that many people who own the armor coating don’t like. This whole issue can be fixed if every single armor core get’s the option to make the armor look new & clean or dirty & worn. And ideally a slider.

  3. Noble Team kits are not finished or accurate. From shoulder pieces being unpainted and untextured to whole parts of the armor missing (like Emile’s grenade belt). User XDestr0yer07X made a whole list back in January: https:*//forums.halowaypoint.com/t/halo-infinite-noble-team-kits-are-not-accurate/490771 (remove the *).

  4. All Mark V(b) armor core shoulders are misaligned. Go to the Mark V(b) core and scroll through the shoulder attachments. You will quickly see that all shoulder attachments are misaligned.

I would love to see these 4 topics fixed in Season 2.

If any of these 4 topics ARE discussed in the Season 1 Outcomes Report I apologize.

Well, a certain forum troll is probably going to make his/her 1500th post here saying that customization will not make you more powerful and therefore is unimportant. Everybody on the planet who has ever played any Halo game is aware of that and also HAPPY about that.

A Halo game where cat ears can make you hear footsteps better and the pineapple grenades chest piece will give you more/better grenades will be a lame Halo game and also pay-to-win.

FYI customization is part of the aesthetics of the game and therefore makes players feel more immersed and for that reason it IS very important. Customization is part of the looks department of the game. And if looks weren’t important in video games, this game wouldn’t have been delayed for a full year and Halo Infinite might as well be red boxes bleeping blue boxes in a décor of black, white and gray boxes. Where every few minutes a heavy bloop will spawn on the map, which can be picked up by one blue or red box who can use it to bloop the enemy boxes. Nobody wants to play that game.
