3sk pistol doesn't automatically equal skill.

Having a pistol that kills in 3 shots and has no bloom doesn’t automatically bring in a huge skill gap like some are saying. What exactly made the CE pistol skillful? It might’ve been the 3sk, sure. But there’s a plethora of other factors to consider. CE’s pistol had no hitscan. You had to lead shots. You had to compensate for connection because of non hitscan, along with CE’s netcode. CE’s pistol had a range limit where the bullets literally won’t hit after a certain range. Reach’s pistol fires slightly faster. Reach is also easier in terms of aiming.

Simply turning the pistol into a 3sk won’t really do anything in terms of skill. It’s not skillful if everyone can do it. Again, 3sk doesn’t automatically mean instant skill gap. Because of Reach’s easier aiming, along with multitudes of other factors to consider, I think that having the 3sk pistol in Reach won’t be as skillful as it will be frustrating.

Yes, but the Magnum won’t shoot straight, combine that with faster movement in classic, jump height, and limited range based on said doesn’t shoot straight. And you have every factor aside from lack of hitscan down.

Having hitscan certainly does decrease the skill gap alot. But it’s better than random bloom.

Bro, I’ve been on MLG for 5 years, have amassed over 3.5k posts, and I’m being honest with you when I say this. Don’t bother, it isn’t worth it and they won’t listen, I’ve been making your same argument since Reach came out and it’s been fruitless.

4sK would be fine as long as the DMR kept it’s max firerate and removed the bloom, at the very least it will remove some of the randomness of the battles, not let people run away as often, and punish bad shots more.

how difficult is it to remove it?

If they want to make it take skill to actually get a 3sk they just need to improve the movement acceleration, removing aim acceleration would also help.

Reach’s netcode may be good but until the current netcode reaches a similar level to that of a dedicated server, or is replaced by an actual dedicated server, there will always be a host advantage without hitscan.

Yeah I highly agree with you. The vidoc made a 3sk magnum look easy to do. There are so many other facters the make the CE pistol hard to use. In order to make the 3sk magnum hard to use in Reach they must, reduce bullet magnitism, autaim, aim acceleration, and no hitscan. So yeah Im hoping 343 knows this.

Your looking at making a new game. And i dont know why youd want to remove hitscan anyway, its as good as online shooters get until we can break relativity.

then simply cap ROF to slightly below halo ce levels

whats your point? all youve done is complain, you havent actually said whats wrong.

if everyone spawns with the same pistol (in certain playlists) it will be 100% balanced.

Dude, I sit in the middle of Blood Gulch and shoot people on the other side of the map 3 times easily. Everyone does.
