should halo 4 have 3D support?
It’s been confirmed that Halo 4 will not have 3D support.

This thread again?
No. The vast majority of people do not have 3D capable TVs yet, so it wouldn’t even be worth the cost to implement it into the game.
Aw damn… I kinda hoped 3D would be back. I like it in Halo CEA… Oh well, it does cut down the resolution of the game…
I am disappointed in the lack of 3D TV support as well (queue the 3D-haters), but I understand the extra work that it takes to code, support, and tune that, and with few people being able to enjoy it, they just could not do it this time around, having to put all of the focus into tuning one set of graphics.
Gears of War 3 probably would not have supported 3D either if it did not get the extra months of time with the schedule push-back. With Halo CEA, the game was pre-built except the new graphics (mostly, and not to belittle what the studio did, it was great), and it was not very CPU-intensive, and that game engine had 3D TV support included. The developers thus had time to support 3D.
Oh, well, hopefully in Halo 5, it won’t be that hard to support it, assuming that they will use a similar engine… oh, maybe not. Halo 5 should be an XBox Next game. By then, 3D sets should be more common, though, and the tools should make 3D TV output easier to implement, and the computing power far greater.
