3D print file for characters?

It would be unwieldy and non-profitable for a company to make spartan figures in every possible armor combination and color scheme.

How about a downloadable 3D print file?

The armor hall could have a button right there to download. For console users it could be sent to your specified email account, or a link in the email where to download.

I imagine it would have to programmed for at least a 12 inch figure for the details.

I think that this idea is pretty cool and would love to see something like that.

Thats a great Idea, I have a 3d printer and would love to print of my own spartan!

If I remember rightly, for a hefty price, they used to offer to print and mail your Halo 5 spartan back when it launched 8 years ago (side note: holy crap Halo 5 was 8 years ago). With the state of the game, it’s probably gunna be a while before we see any sort of support for community projects or APIs. Even if they were to do this, it simply isn’t a priority.

Although, with mod support improving over on the MCC side, you could probably find a way to extract 3D models from the older games and clean them up for 3D printing with enough tinkering and effort. Just be sure to understand the terms and conditions of modding and fan projects. You wouldn’t be allowed to sell or even give away the files, let alone printed models for that.

Yeah they have never done this with McFarlane and such.

Apparently they did for 5.

This will have to be done by the fans in some round-about way, why would they implement something that hinders their figurine sales?

Either way I’m sure someone will come around and eventually make some sort of thing that allows you to do what you want by taking the models of pieces and editing them to become buildable figures.
