Will there be a 3D option in Halo 4? I’m looking at a 3D TV right now, and it would be so worth getting it if Halo 4 had a 3D feature. I’m asking this because I know that Halo Anniversary had a 3D feature.
No, sorry… Frank O’Connor stated that won’t there be 3D support for Halo 4. I guess it has to do with the graphic power the 360 has…
Still, if you are thinking about buying a 3D TV, I’d recommend you any by LG. They’ve even got a 2Dto3D conversion that allows you to see everything in 3D based on a real-time depth calculation.
It ain’t as good as a native 3D support, of course; but makes the trick
Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking about getting the PlayStation 3D Display, because of the price. I play my Xbox in a smaller room, so I thought it might be a good deal. Would an LG work well with gaming? As in instantaneous timing between the controller and the visual?

I think it works fine, the only visual issue is that the color scheme isn’t as wide as a plasma TV’s and can be noticed when the whole screen is displaying a wide gradient.
Well, for example the LG DM2780D-PZ 27" I own is 300 dollars right now. It’s response time is 5 ms.
The only problem I had is that LG isn’t making the glasses for it anymore, so you should avoid this DM2780D-PZ and any LG TV that starts with DM.
Now LG makes 3D glasses that work with every last new TV, so no prob.
In fact, I was able to use one of these new LG 3D glasses on this DM by cutting the lenses and rotating them 45 degrees. Working great except for some very minor ghosting in high contrast scenes.

Thanks, I’ll look into it.

Ok then. Glad I could help :3
Added some more further details about my experience with it. Any ways, the glasses issue won’t matter if you buy any new LG TV.
Kinda hope not. I know its been confirmed. I just think 3D is over ated. I guess because all these movies doing it wrong and I feel like I got jipped. Just my opinion.

Just one more question, have you tried the 3D with Halo? If so, how well does it work?
why would you want a 3D tv?
if you’re looking at getting a 3D tv then i reccomend researching the possible health risks…

What’s wrong with 3D TVs? I’m just thinking about getting a new TV in general, but 3D would be a cool feature. Even though I probably wouldn’t use it as much as 2D.

its a stupid gimmick and there are potentiall long term health risks, its the reason why virtual reality goggles were cancled, some TV manufacturers have even issued a warning for pretty much every person out there…

Its just a matter of opinion. If 3D TVs were that bad, obviously they wouldn’t make them. And 343i probably doesn’t think that 3D is bad either, considering that they put a 3D feature into Halo Anniversary. Its not like playing video games is that good for your health in the first place either…

why wouldn’t they make them? it gives them a reason to make and sell new TVs for more money, its all about the money.

Don’t you have anything better to do besides telling me why 3D is “bad”?

Smoking also damages your body and gives long term health risks, people are allows their own choice and if a 3D TV is one of them, let them.
I watched a 3D movie at my friends house, I got one of the worst headaches in my life from it.
Never again.

which is why i reccomend to research the possible health risks before purchasing, get all the information before jumping in.

Yeah, most 3D movies are just… awful.
Tried to watch The Lion King with my lil’ brother… never again.
The videogames, on the other hand, are just superb. You should try playing Arkham City or even Portal in 3D with the customizable 3D software that comes with the LG (you can adjust everything for every PC game from intensity to point of view and shadders) for example.
That way you can have a proper 3D gaming set-up for your eyes and preferences.
> which is why i reccomend to research the possible health risks before purchasing, get all the information before jumping in.
It’s just a polarized filter for the lenses that separates the image for each eye; the brain gets the two images and builds up the depth. Just like it does every day at every second you have both eyes opened.
