So Reach is my all time favorite Halo. The aesthetics, the gameplay, the music, the story all had me so obsessed with the universe that I tattooed the Halo logo on my arm. When backwards compatibility came for Reach I was ecstatic. However, three months later, the Xbox One version still plays sub optimal. I went up to my attic, grabbed my trusty white and dusty 360. Dusted it off and brought it down to my television set. Plugged it in, launched Halo, and wow. I hadn’t really noticed the difference before because I hadn’t played Reach in years on the 360. But when I played on the 360 right after the Xbox One version of it, the FPS seemed doubled and everything felt a lot more natural.
So moral of the story, if you wanna enjoy Reach and you want an advantage over those poor sods who have sold their old 360… Then this is the way for you. Stick your 360 back into the tv and enjoy the game the way it’s meant to be enjoyed. Backwards compatibility was nice on paper, but the execution is below par.
Reach on the 360 is wayyy better, however my 360 experiences frames lag where it sticks to a screen off and on for about 10 seconds twice a day. Still far efficient than my One.
