Forge Improvements
-Lower the contrast in Halo 2 Anniversary / Fix Lightning
I noticed this in forge where metal objects go completely black in the shade and become completely white in the light. It makes maps using metallic objects often appear very black and thus distracting…
The same is true in multiplayer, I noticed H2A maps have the most noise. Everything is super noisy because the environments have so much contrast.
Look at the cliffs in H2A in Coag.
Now look at the same cliffs in H2 Coag
They are much less distracting!
I wish I could post screens of the contrast in Forge to drive the point home about how bad it is. I tried working around it by using Special FX like Nova, but that washes out too much colour. There should be a way to obtain some middle ground.
-Improve the water in Awash
The water there looks horrendous. No shadows can be cast on it. It doesn’t look like water, just a sky blue ground.
I wish we had a way to beautify the water.
-Match the block palette with the canvas
The blocks seem so out of place on Nebula, I really wish they had textured them to look more like something that could actually exist in space. currently these blocks look nothing like their environment.
And I wouldn’t mind if the blocks on Skyward resembled Ascension. That would be cool!
