343 keeps saying that this is their halo, but when will we get our halo? We are their fans and most loyal customers. So halo 5 they should make it for us not for them kay?
They are making this for us silly guy

no they’re making it for them.
Oh, we all own the intellectual property rights to Halo?
Game developers shouldn’t make games for fans, it just turns out bad. Do car manufacturers makes cars for their fans? No, they just makes cars and if you like it, you like it. Don’t be so self entitled, a lot of people, including myself, like the way Halo 4 looks.
343 is doing better without fan input. Reach was made with fan input, and look at that mess.

What makes you come to that conclusion? A legitimate reason or just the fact that you don’t like what you see?
This is everyone’s Halo.
> This is everyone’s Halo.
Screw you! It’s MY Halo!

The guy above you said that it is his Halo? Does it make it his? Once you give those 60$ at Game Stop or wherever you buy Halo 4, it will be only yours. (=

It isn’t our halo, it’s 343’s, they own the rights to it, we don’t.
pointless topic is pointless

Actually Car manufactures do target certain audiences with the cars they make. If you’re working on designing the next model of a Ford 1-50, you cant just abandon the original F-150 design design and try to make it for the Soccer Moms that Ford truck would surely fail as Ford 1-50 truck drivers wouldnt buy them because they are not “manly” enough, while Soccer Moms looking for a safe family vehicle, would likely never look at a truck in the first place. Just like if 343 designs Halo 4 like RB6, it will most likely fail with the majority of Halo consumers, while RB6 fans or fans of tactical shooters, would most likely never be looking at a Halo game for that type of gameplay. Its important that 343 design a Halo game to hit its target audience which is the Halo fanbase, but not make it ONLY for the pure Halo fan so gamers of different tastes can also catch on. That is a delicate line they must walk though, as cross that line into designing H4 TOO much so different gamers can enjoy it, and you will have the lost the majority of you’re target audience for the time being at least. Its kind of ironic because the very situation I described above, happened to the RB6 franchise when they stopped making it a strictly tactical shooter, and went for the more “actiony” audience which DID NOT go over well with fans of the original pure tactical RB6 games and well we havent heard from RB6 ever since then.

When they said it was theirs they didn’t literally mean it was…you know what…figure it out yourself guy, it’s basic English.
When Microsoft gives us the rights to Halo.
Duh.

That’s all well and good, but nobody ever said that 343 was radically changing Halo’s gameplay. To me, core Halo (the unique combat) is still there. All outside sources, including MLG, say it still feels like Halo. So we are not taking our Ford F-150 (Halo) and making it a soccer mom van (CoD). Just because 343 is using elements (say, a GPS navigation) that another car (game) uses, doesn’t mean that the maker is radically overhauling the entire car (game).
I hate to use car analogies, since I hate cars and love video games, but I felt it fit the logic.

By “us” you mean “you.” You don’t like where 343 is taking the game; I do. Now what?
> they said it. “this may be halo, but this is OUR HALO…”
Everyone who works at 343 is a Halo fan. They’re making Halo 4 for the fans.
