If 343 continues to use fans for money to waste on some stupid Halo World Championship then eventually they’ll lose all their fans and money. They’ve ruined Halo completely, they’ve ruined the Live Action Movies, they ruined the name Halo. What are they going to ruin next? The whole entire Xbox Consoles?
While I think you’re being a bit dramatic, I just today posted something similar on GAF. Truth be told, I don’t think 343 are very good at making Halo, and I also think that Halo 5 is only held so high because it’s been forever since we got anything resembling a real halo game. There are so many things in H5 that I loathe, but it’s whatever I guess. They’ve got the torch and they’ll keep running where they like no matter what we say. They don’t even post here. I see Frankie on GAF regularly, but never once here.
what qualifies as a “real” halo game? halo 3’s story was fine, halo 2’s was better, and halo:CE was worst than any of them. not only that, but it was praticly the same thing over and over again. let me list them:
- halo 2/3 had same gameplay.
- halo 2/3 had similar weapons
3.only thing new in halo 3 was armor changing, and 4 players local and forge.
while in halo 5: - increased mobility
- new multiplayer experiance
- new redisigned forge
4 increased waypoint development - good but short story
6 great level design
7 the most excellent campaign levels i have ever seen.
the only downside i see is no local multiplayer, and no firefight, or even spartan ops.
343 is innovating halo. evolving it. making it more fast paced. if it doesn’t it won’t be able to keep up with the other FPS. if it doesn’t evolve to our generation, it won’t just lose fans and money, it will die completely.
