343's decisions hindering Halo 4

Don’t get me confused. I think Halo 4 is a Great Halo game, but could be GOLD if it wasn’t limited like it is now. 343 seems to be taking away a lot of things that we have come to love in every Halo.

Things like:

Friendly Fire: added a sense of awareness and hindered grenade spam and made every single shot more viable. Its absence is abused in Halo 4 with “Spartan Jihads”. (Sticky Detonator + Thrusting Teammate = Spartan Jihad)

Flag Drop: Dropping the flag and picking it up is what made capture the flag so much more different than those in other FPS’s and made teamwork more viable and would have went along perfectly with the “Flagnum”

Organized/Categorized Playlist: These playlist made it possible to play over 20 different types of gametypes in one playlist and added a sense of fun and variety in the game, which is fun. These watered down, dull, and limited playlist hinder the playlist.

No Traditional Matchmaking included: This makes me very angry. Why not have include regular slayer and Free-For-All in matchmaking. I like Infinity Slayer and Regicide, but not having the Traditional was like a slap in the face.

Limited Custom Game Options: This is piss me off to no end. They stripped custom games down for “competetive play”. Competetive and Custom Games should not be used together AT ALL. Custom Games is all about having good fun and making crazy and fun gametypes on crazy maps. They stripped it down and even took out grenade regeneration and the ability to hold all grenades. Even now the Flood has took over half of the Infection gametypes that involved weapons.

Rank/XP cap: Really bad on for them actually. Now the people who rank up to lvl 70 in their first few weeks of playing will start playing something else because they are limited because they didn’t preorder the LE.

Glitches: They could have a patch or update to fix all glitches but how is it possible to have a map breaking glitch like the one on Complex be exploited like this.

Small Maps: Halo has always been top dog in coming up with arena styled maps but a few of these maps are to big for 4v4.

Halo 4 is great but is limited and is slowly becoming less of what the title says on the box. Please 343 listen to community(not the complaining part) and adjust your great creation to be what could be a gamechanger for the series

Lack of Friendly Fire is definitely not something that hinders my gameplay. If anything, it improves it. No, it doesn’t add a sense of awareness or hinder grenade spam. It just makes it a pain when your teammates lack a sense of awareness.

For example, yesterday I’m playing Dominion and boarding a Wraith. In the middle of killing it when a teammate comes around a corner and shoots at me with a rocket launcher. He gets the kill, but I die, too.

Or if you throw a grenade somewhere and a teammate with no situational awareness runs into it. That’s not me being a grenade spammer–that’s my teammate being an idiot.

Oh, and when your teammates teamkill you on purpose to get the flag right before you score?

Friendly Fire is not something that adds more skill to the game. It should not even exist.
