What has 343 done with the armor that you can get in the game? Some of them actually look pretty cool and they’ve brought back classics to please the crowd. However, some of the armor looks like a 5 year old created them. I’m not sure who the creators of some of the armors were, but they were obviously drinking a bit much. Even some of the throwback armor went horribly wrong. For instance, the Nightfall helmet looks like the special child to the ODST armor. The visor is way too big and the armor just looks strange. I know that they can’t replicate it exactly, but just…why? One helmet even looks like a smashed down version of Noble Six’s helmet. I want to know if everyone else feels the same way that I do about this, or if I’m the only one that thinks that 343 just threw designs together and classified them as “armor”.
It’s just 343’s new art direction.
I heard they let some of their newer art designers try out for this one since they needed to many suits to fill up the REQ system.
Their inexpereince shows to me.
Halo: Reach’s armor customisation was the best. I’d take the operator helmet over the jokes named tracer and mako any day. No skill is required to get anything. You could get helljumper armor on your first pack and instead of people revering your skill, the reaction is “aww, man. I wish I got that.” They made one of the two armors that actually required SKILL to get available in reqs. Instead of completing every campaign on legendary in the MCC, you just have about a 0.3 chance to get it. It’s only a matter of time until achilles is put in gold packs too.
