Infection or no Halo 6. #343mustlisten
Personally I got tired of infection back when it was introduced by the community as an unofficial gametype in Halo 2… we went from having LAN parties where we played several competitive gametypes to seriously playing Infection all night long for weekends on end… so I’ve always been a bit sour towards that gametype in future Halo games as you just get burnt out after a while! That said I completely agree with you… Halo 6 will be fine regardless, but Infection is such a popular gametype that they absolutely have to add it eventually to Halo 5 in one of these updates, or the community as a whole will be pretty upset about it. Same goes for Grifball (which, for me, like Infection with you, is the gametype I can’t live without!).
Hopefully someone from 343 will start them down that path - I’d imagine it’s already in the works as we chat on this forum.
I’m curious to know the percentage of users that actually care about infection. I’ll play it if it shows up on a weekend playlist. However, I’m definitely not one to say that Halo 5 would be a failure without infection. Seems to me like a small and very vocal minority wants infection in this game?
