343i Your Halo 5 Sales Are Dropping Early

First off, I am a big Halo fan. I have loved Halo 4 very much and am proud of the unique touch you’ve given it. However lack of respect for your customers/community will drive this franchise into the ground.

Only 1 month after release and you have made many mistakes with the multiplayer aspect. They are as follows:

*EDITED

  1. Stripping down custom games options
  2. Removing popular game types
  3. Not including the specializationsnin the base game
  4. Not following through on the specialization promotion
  5. Immediate issues with the Mapp Pass/Crimson Map Pack
  6. No file share search or Waypoint connection to it
  7. Minimal forge improvements
  8. *Leaving us in the dark!

When I say you have no respect for us I mean you don’t listen like Bungie did. When the community raged, Bungie answered and fixed things immediately. And back then it wasn’t even about any mistakes they made. You on the other-hand have made mistakes and refuse to correct them.

Here are your solutions so far:

  1. Give out specialization codes and then get tired of doing it and completely ignore people.

Great business plan 343i…Only one solution barely given and no word on any of the other 5 issues. You’re -Yoink!- off your customers and that, I garuntee it, has already dropped your Halo 5 sales.

Now then, you have work to do…get to it…

They have a lot of work to do Ur rite…but instead they are all kicking it around a desk eating donuts thinking on Wat else to do to ruin there income

> They have a lot of work to do Ur rite…but instead they are all kicking it around a desk eating donuts thinking on Wat else to do to ruin there income

Bungie shouldn’t have dropped Halo…

The negativity hurts my feelings. C’mon man, it’s still a great game. Really liking it. You can’t hate a developer for problems not in game. These issues don’t make Halo 4 a bad game, just a badly planned one.

That’s why my very FIRST statement was that ai like Halo 4, but that does not excuse their disrespect and poor handling of the community. You know as well as I that Bungie wouldn’t have let this happen.

well, when you look back at it all, it’ll all seem like a minor blip in time. people are not going to remember the late night fiasco of having to wait a few more hours (LIKE HONESTLY!) for map packs to release, or the 5 days it took Microsoft to send out specialization codes via xbox live. haha its very petty really, considering you’re still pandering to the old company that abandoned this IP, not to mention bungie had way more bugs/glitches in their games. I have no doubt one of the reasons Bungie got tired was that they had to constantly reply to the constant bickering and complaining, they primed this community to be self-entitled and prima donas that is what 343i has inherited

Issues not in game?
I hope you’re kidding.

Bungie didn’t want anything to do with Halo anymore, but they were forced to make one more to satisfy their contractual obligations, so they made Reach. They were tired of dealing with Microsoft so they left. Surprised?

  1. No, Bungie’s games did not have this many bugs aside from Halo 2 but that was Xbox Live’s first online game so it was to be expected.

  2. Bungie wanted to drop Halo because of Microsoft, they also wanted to work on a new game to broaden their horizon.

3.Put aside the spec codes and maps, this game is incomplete. Maybe 60% finished at max, not only that but it was really dumbed down.

Please leave the game if you really hate it that much instead of making a rage thread about it and feeling as if it will make any difference towards improving the game at all. Thankyou.

5 days? I still don’t have a code. And the specializations should’ve been included with the game from the start. ESPECIALLY with the DewXP promotion. 70 as a cap? Point is they did absolutely terrible business planning. And they are legally obligated to fulfill ALL promotions.

Hate is a strong word.

However,

-Radar jammer glitch (if it is a glitch)
-Boltshot glitches
-Exile unbalanced start
-Unbalance through Random Ordnance Drop, both personal and ordnance
-Several map glitches (fixed now though)
-Loose trueskill, I’m experiencing that atleast
-Headless Spartan glitch?

There are problems in the game.

Adressing problems is a way of solving them.

If no one came here to adress the map glitches they would most likely still be present, same with every glitch, untill an emplyee found a video on how to do it. This goes for every problem

See you’re another one who doesn’t read. I like the game itself, it’s 343i that has degraded the experience.

You realize that they are just trying to give you a few extra maps here? It’s like someone coming a little late when you ordered a cake just to store in your fridge. It’s not like you need it right now because you’re throwing a Halo right now? There’s a reason they’re doing this at night/morning time. Don’t act like kids and get mad and say 343i is bad because something unexpected happen when they tried to make you happy… bearing a strong resemblance to mother - son relationship when she tries to feed him and he doesn’t like the -Yoinking!- food… derp

The only issue I can agree with is that 343i indeed does not communicate properly, and a forum ninja would probably make a lot of people happy if he came out with real-time announcements like that they are actually working on fixing the map pack issue, which they definately are.

Halo 5 will be fine. Do you know why? It’s going to be on Xbox 3. It’ll most likely be a launch title and it will drive people to buy the system.

You used the word “give” incorrectly.

They’re not giving us the maps, they’re selling them.

One reason we’re so upset is the game was released with a very small amount of maps. Not only that but they are all medium-large maps. The game has no small maps and they just gave us 3 more BTB maps.

It’s not about the maps. I can go download and play right now if I wanted. The thread was created in hoping 343i could a partially compiled list of failures they’ve made within a month’s time.

No one is buying halo 4 because…

Its to random gameplay and unbalanced weapons/maps.

Okay…

1. Stripping down custom games options

Mildly annoying to some, but most people use matchmaking.

2. Removing popular game types

Like? BTB is there, Slayer is there, SWAT is there. Those are the big 3. The only modes fully removed are Rocket Race and Assault, the former of which is a bit of fun and the latter got replaced with the far better Dominion.

3. Not including the specializations in the base game

Agreed, annoying. Easily solved though. Note that both Halo 3 and Reach had content exclusive to the LE player too.

4. Not following through on the specialization promotion

And yet, I have one of these, thanks to a forumite with a spare which I traded with.

5. Immediate issues with the Map Pass/Crimson Map Pack

What issues? People having to wait for tokens to redeem like every other digital preorder ever? Look, you essentially bought a coupon book. Do coupons normally magically turn into an item when it’s out? No, you have to redeem them. The redemption is being made available, the maps will be out once that goes live. People flipping out because -Yoink!- I WANT EVERYTHING AND NOW just look like dummy spitting babies.

6. *Leaving us in the dark!

There’s a poor guy going around every damn Map Pass thread linking to the answer and locking them. He’s replying to them all. How is there a lack of response?
