I do happen to think Master Chief would make a good character in Smash
They did at one point, when they planned to release a Halo on the Nintendo DS (until it was cancelled).

I will say, as a Indie / Halo / Sega Genesis / NBA 2k gamer only these days… I am pumped to add the Switch to my lineup!
It looks great. I can’t stand the WiiU or the Wii.

Technically, it was never planned or cancelled. According to Bungie, the Halo DS demo was an unsolicited pitch from a third-party that didn’t get picked up, not an official project within Microsoft.
