Im sorry I really -Yoinking!- hate why there is no trueskill visable rankings system and I hope they add one because it pisses me off so do what you wanna do but they wont give it even if they will get 100000$ more dollars because of seconds account and I guess 343i is stupid to not notice that. I might not get Halo 4 because of some other reasons but this is the main reason.

Its a big motivation factor. Ranks make the game fun for me. Thats why I put reach in my microwave as soon as I got all the achievements and thats why I’m playing halo 3 right now,

It makes people feel important. It’s unfortunate. It’s so someone can have a higher number than you, then use it to brag about being “better” and feel special.
As long as there’s a ranking system in place, which there is, I don’t care if I can see a number. I just want well matched battles. A number is a freaking number. If you want something else to brag about, just use K/D or W/L or something. That’s all your rank is really based off anyways. Sheesh.

Who cares if i can see a rank or not.There still is trueskill.
I think the ranking system isn’t there as they want Halo 4 to be more accessible than Halo 3, and a ranking system (if you suck) is a negative thing. Remember all those gold bar Majors or Commanders? Must have been embarassing.

So you promote a broken system. That makes the whole point of said system a joke. You just stated one of the main reasons why visible ranks should not come back.

I spent about 5 mins coming up with a reply to this, but your post is simply too limited.
I played halo 3 for fun, lets face it there wasn’t much in game motivation to rank up besides a few rank base achievements that got you armor.

Because those carry equal weight of importance in life…
Money is necessary to live. It buys you the essentials: food, water, shelter, warmth, clothing, transportation, supporting a family etc.
A diploma/degree helps land you a better job to gain more money, which in turn, gets you your essentials.
A number on a video game, does nothing but fill you with a sense of pride for doing well…in a virtual world that offers nothing but self satisfaction and bragging rights. The number itself does not equal a ranking system, because they can, and will, match you up according to the same exact factors they would regardless if you can see a number or not.

No it isn’t. People live in bankruptcy and poverty. People live without any sort of civilization. Money is just for people to show off, and is just a meaningless number.

And what is the difference between a meaningless number ingame and a meaningless number in real life? You don’t need a job or education to survive. All money leads to is nothing but self satisfaction, pride, and greed. We need to remove money, and make it so everyone earns the same amount!
