Most ppl hate this idea of not being able to drop the flag

and alot of ppl like the idea of throwing the oddball

Being able to throw the oddball = Cool and Makes Sense Logically
NOT Being able to drop the flag = NOT COOL and DOESN’T Make sense LOGICALLY

So 343i, the Simple solution:

PleasePleasePlease!!

Let me get a SPEAR KILL with the Flag by letting me throw it like a grenade!!!

No thanks. I’m all for being able to drop the flag, but CTF has a certain pacing and strategy to it that being able to throw the flag would disrupt.

I can imagine it now, throwing the flag and it hits and kills an enemy.

For serious though, no, I don’t want to have to throw the flag like a javelin just to drop it.

I am glad we can’t drop the flag whenever I had it I always pressed the fire or throw gernade button and dropped the flag. It was really annoying plus now that we take our sidearm out we can fend for ourselves… sort of.

Throwing the flag would destroy all sense of strategy and teamwork in CTF. Why would you need teammates to protect you when you can just hurl the flag halfway across the map towards your base? A teammate could easily hurl it again, effectively turning CTF into a hurling relay. No thank you.

Throwing the flag might be op. Did you see how far an oddball can be tossed. This feature would easily be used just get the map way down the map xD.

I can see my rather skillfull friend throwing the flag to the scorepoint.

The point of CTF is to emulate rescue missions.
Wouldn’t make much sense to “throw” the person who you’re supposed to be saving.

there could be another button on the controller pressed for a spear throw.

There could easily be a 10 ft limit to the toss.
