I have seen that so far 90% of all the available skins are for pre order/buyable.
But, are there any skins that can be earned via hard work?
I was thinking skins for:
playing Halo 2 before April, 15 cut off date
having a 50 in Halo 3
Being a general in Halo Wars
getting every halo achievement (excluding Halo 2 PC)
have 1 achievement in halo 2 PC
Beat every Halo on legendary
special recon armor skin for getting vidmasters in previous Halo games
See stuff like this would actually be cool and reward people.
The idea also is not everyone will have every skin/armor in the game and that it rewards people for their hard work and encourages them to play previous Halo games and experience them.
If “completionists” want these things, then they can play the other Halos and earn them.
If there’s something like that I’d guess it’s for having all achievements from Halo: CE Anniversary since the other Halo games aren’t made by 343i so I rely don’t think they’ll give you awards for them.

Then what is the point of collecting acheivment rank on waypoint then>
I feel that veterans of the series should get custom and exclusive things for their devotion to the series.
I am sure there will be many earnable things in Halo 4 that are only earnable in Halo 4 but we need something.
My only fear would be that anything exclusive would become the recon helmet all over again, or similar to all the nameplate blow back that occurred in Reach.

So? People who have been playing the game for years deserve something exclusive.
If anyone thinks everyone should have every armor and skin unlocked they are a fool.
I want things that not everyone can have. I want things that I myself may never earn.
If people earned something, it should be theres. Exclusive is good, socialism is bad.
If everyone could get everything really easy, what is the point of even having it?

Yes it could also be skins for your waypoint rank but I doubt there’s any for single Halo achievements or past online ranks

There should be. Legendary feats should be rewarded with equally legendary rewards. And the past should never be forgotten.

For armor skins I hope they have a variety and just hope they haven’t released them all yet. As for weapon skins. They look cool and all but Halo weapons have always looked bad -Yoink- just the way they are.

Providing you’ve done the tasks to have them awarded to you, then yes, you are a “Vet”. If you’ve got the proof that you’ve played all the Halos and done big stuff in them, then you have experience.
They had ways to track Halo 2 PC and now with CEA you can have recognition for all the games.
Why don’t you share what you think makes a vet?

For some reason I feel like Tracker is the new Recon. That’s the vibe I get from it.
Aside from that, I don’t like this idea. There is no accurate way of figuring out who has or has not played all the halos. If there is, it will probably be a very limited way of telling. It has to be fair for everyone.
What I meant was I’ve personally sunk unthinkable amounts of hours into CE (Xbox 1) and 2. Am I a Vet? I’m a good player too, played in many LAN get togethers back in the day.
I haven’t had the time to play on a 360 much due to my heavy work schedule, just bought the slim now and set up my account for Halo 4’s imminent release. It’s just my personal opinion… numbers be it gamerscore or waypoint to me don’t make a Vet.
