Infinite coming out in one month. So i want to make a little but imho important list of gameplay elements, what a big majority of the Halo Fans want on launch for Multiplayer. Since the first flight i was everyday in the forums/youtube/reddit for Infinite, and i believe i know what the people want.
Maybe 343i has put in some work in the following suggestions, since i don’t really know if it’s the case i posted this thread
Really important:
- Aiming: A majority of the community had problems with the aiming. The problems with the aiming mechanic, was already confirmed from sketch on twitter (343i employee) /ske7ch/status/1443367619625504768
I don’t mean necessarily AA, rather the feeling of the aim. To do microadjustments was sometimes kind of buggy because just the tiniest input, made the crosshair oddly bouncing around. Another unecessary complex thing was the settings for the sensetivity. Even experienced players had a little bit of effort to understand wich setting what did. Don’t get me wrong, for me it was after watching the video, no problem to understand, but imho thats not beginner friendly (and 343i wants infinite really beginner friendly as they said by themself)

Radar: 343i did a good job from the first to the second flight, with bringing back the old motion sensor/ radar system. Altough a lot of people want the range increased from 18m to 25m. I think this would be a good choice imho, sometimes the radar was still kind of useless. Additional to that it will support the statement from 343i to bring the “legacy Halo feeling” back. Since the radar is a big part of the gameplay this would support that.

Jeff Steitzer not in BTB (Halo OG announcer): A LOT of fans want Jeff Steitzer back in BTB. It was really akward without his calls after doing Double kills etc. The lack of his voice is a huge deal for almost every Halo fan and i think it should be not so much effort to add his lines in BTB (Even if Jeff can’t do more lines because of age or time or whatever, a lot of his callouts are already recorded and existent and can be added into BTB)
Minor Details:

Strafe speed: For some people strafe speed was a little bit too fast. I think it’s a thing people can get used to, but i want to mention it, to think about it. Sometimes the gunfights was really hectic if people spammed A-D or the left-stick.

Drop-Wall: The drop-wall was kind of weak. It’s good if 343i wants things like that not too powerful but it was a bit too weak for some people.
If 343i does one last inside Infinite, i hope to see some of the improvement the people suggested and i’m really looking forward to play a brand new and good Halo game! I think it can be the best Halo since a long time.
