Hey guys as most know there’s a lot of arguments and criticisms regarding Halo 4 and that this was 343i’s 1st attempt at the game.
Me personally think the game, although an improvement on reach felt lazy and rushed.
I know it’s common practice now for developers to release the core of the game 1st then followed by lots of DLC’s. But to the extent 343i have done it feels lazy.
They’ve missed out on thorough play testing, key core playlists that every generic FPS multiplayer game should have as standard such as ffa.
There’s also the lack of original elements in the game and the detachment from Halo with the addition of these COD mechanics (Killstreak rewards, Kill cam etc) The only 2 things I will give them credit for is sprint and Spartan Ops (even though it’s blatantly ripped off Spec Ops).
What are your thoughts? Did 343i do everything they could or did they rush it for the holiday xmmas sales?
there are not lazy, but they are putting too much effort in spartan ops. I am not a fan of spops but I know there are people who love it. However, the players who play it complain about re-using maps and if I were a spops player, I’d hate replaying the same maps. Different missions, but the same maps.
I’d like it if the Spartan ops updates were monthly and 343 can focus on other things.
It would’ve been SOOOO much better if they gave spops a brake, and give us more MP maps.
These guys were lazy, plain and simple. When it takes not only you, but 3 other independent dev studios to make a game and its STILL this bad. Yeah, you -Yoinked!- up more or less. This game is just a re-skinned version Halo Reach.
Welcoming Team Snipes and Throwdown (finally, after 4 months you add this in) but I am the point where I’ll probably play a few matches to see how it is and will not wait for any more “fixes” if its bugged up or doesn’t feel right. I have other titles I’ll invest my time into.
