343i The banished deployable shield wall must be added as an equipment

The banished deployable shield wall’s as see in the campaign should be added as an equipment item to stand by or even replace the drop wall.

The issues with the drop wall for me is that one way shooting is a difficult mechanic to balance limiting the amount of health the drop can have and that you want it to use it reactively despite 343 designing it to function proactively.
The community and 343i are at a divide over the role and use of the drop wall.

id like to see the addition of The banished deployable shield wall’s as see in the campaign come in as equipment modified to function reactively,
The banished deployable shield wall’s don’t have the ability to shoot through on one side but they make up for it with much more health,

i believe without the ability to shoot through the banished shield walls they could function reactively or proactively in a stronger way then drop wall while still remaining balanced.

The banished deployable shield wall with its stronger health could be used to place useful emergency cover mid fight without stopping the fight or giving one side a distinct advantage aside from its placement.
The banished deployable shield wall’s could also be used proactively for fortifying rooms and spaces while also give temporary cover for chock points and hard to push routes creating more options for defensive and offensive uses.

functionally in fights instead of players hiding behind the banished deployable shield wall’s to continue the fight they would have to strafe shoot or jump shoot playing around the shield walls while still having to expose them selves to enemy fire.

My guess is the ability to shoot through it, and destroy it pretty easily was their design goal though. I think they wanted to avoid the bubble shield situation from Halo 3. Where it getting thrown down often meant a complete break to any fight, and an awkward stand off until someone decides to go in for melee, and then comes the sticky grenade spam.

The problem with 343’s design though is the shield is so weak that if you are seen while your deploying it the amount of health you lose while throwing it down will actually cause you to lose the fight. Making it useless unless you guess your going to need it before hand. It’s also strange design that it works far better against grenades/power weapons that it does is against small arms automatic weapons.

maybe they are trying to avoid something like the bubble shield but i don’t think the shield walls would be on that level.

like the drop wall the banished deployable shield walls have panels that you can focus fire and break through faster it just tame 6ish shot compared to the 2 of the drop wall.
banished deployable shield wall is also weakest at its emitter base same as the drop wall but it take more to break.
and lastly the banished deployable shield wall is smaller then the drop wall interns of shield sizes.

though i recon if a poll was put up for drop wall vs bubble shield the community would vote bubble shield
