I really enjoyed the Beta. You’ve outdone yourselves. With all the feedback and tweaking to do, I really hope you don’t add any grenade warning indicators- they can make things convoluted in my opinion, and the sound does well enough for that.

I think that having grenades which have bright yellow trails, blue plasma lights, or large protruding spikes are enough of a grenade indicator, don’t you?

Halo is better without grenade indicators. Seriously, the only thing grenade indicators do is encourage grenade spamming…

Halo doesn’t really need grenade indicators, especially when it’s a bright blue ball of plasma being thrown at your face.

It’s nice that the nades don’t have indicators anymore but it’s really bad that their damage is insane. What’s even worse with the nades is that the damage they put out doesn’t matter in range, if you’re within it’s range you will get just as hurt by it as if you stood on it. And a wall doesn’t block it’s damage that very much either.

Yet I haven’t seen one instance where that happened out of all the pro HCS tourneys so far. Grenade markers don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Just a bunch of exaggerations about little details. I agree they’re pointless, but it’s seriously not even a big deal. They don’t get chronically abused like you guys claim.

I used it plenty at semi pro rank. Not to mention in any other halo I’d have to guess I’d I hit them and if I didn’t well I’m going to die instead of my enemy. It makes a huge difference

Sorry, but if I haven’t seen the pros abuse it, I doubt semi-pro beta matches would be decided by something as little as grenade markers. I’d have to see some footage of this “major” difference that it brings. They don’t have any signficance outside of very specific situations.

The sound department did an excellent job. I can tell where a nade is bouncing nearby just by the sound- even without headphones. There’s enough HUD info going on, along with everything else.

Not that I don’t appreciate them being removed, but I have a much bigger problem with grenade hit markers(which were not removed).

If I had to choose between removing indicators and removing hitmarkers I would remove hitmarkers in an instant.

Should remove hit markers too shield flare should be enough also discourages nade spams around corners/objects. I have personally nade spammed cause i saw the markers vs Halo 3 i would save my second nade.
