It looks like 74% of people think 343i sucks at making halo. Looks like they need to change up a few things for the next game to get more people to enjoy their games.

Hey another one of these threads!

imo 343 is alot better.

Be nice!

It’s hard to admit that Seeing that halo reach has a bigger population than 343i’s halo 4 and is close to halo 5’s population.

This is becoming the most redundant argument of all time. Halo 5 feels more like Halo than Reach ever could. I don’t care if Bungie made it, it was the first step in the wrong direction and Halo 5 is a step in thebright direction.

How? Halo 3 and reach, both made by bungie have sold more copies than halo 4 and 5

i wonder if you realise the people who voted on that are the minority of the fanbase on the forums. the forums probably only account to about 10% of the fanbase…

also, imo 343i are doing great with Halo

I strongly agree with thread title.
Wish I could cast my vote in that closed poll.

I fear Halo will never be good again for two reasons:

  1. 343 can’t make a good Halo.
  2. If somebody else who CAN make a good Halo comes along, it will have been too late because 343 has killed the image of Halo and driven people away for good.

A post about 343 sucking linking to another post of 343 sucking. These forums surprise me every day.

Yeah 74% of the 15 people who read that thread.

The Xbox 360 also had a much large install base the the Xbox One does. many people quickly converted to the 360 when it came out but more people were reluctant to switch to the xbox one. Their 360 still worked great and many games were still being developed for it so why bother switching.

Lets say they install base for the 360 was 100 million (Numbers for simple math, no where near accurate)
And 1% bought Halo 3/reach, that’s 1 million copies sold

Now lets say because of the initial poor reception of the Xbox One it only has an install base of 1 million consoles
but 50% bought Halo 5. That’s only 500,000 copies sold.

Which one sold better? The one that sold more copies or the one that had a greater percentage of their base buy the game?

This is why comparing copies sold between anything and Halo 5 is pointless

Halo 5 and halo 3 were flagship titles and they are meant to sell Xbox 360/ Xbox ones, so using that argument that x360’s were sold to more people is invalid as that’s the whole point of selling games is that it’s meant to sell consoles also. So the fact that halo 3 and reach (both consoles editions) even sold more 360’s than Xbox ones can still be compared and it’s safe to say that bungie sold more consoles too.

also, if a game is really good, why not get the console bundle? Your trying to say that the Xbox one had more problems than the 360 and that’s why the xbone sold less… That’s not even true. Halo 3 sold consoles regardless of how good/bad the 360 operated because people knew the game was great.
