After the Human-Covenant war, humanity seriously needed some time to recover. The population is nowhere near what it was before the Covenant showed up. Yet, in Halo 4 ALONE, millions of people had to have died.
The mass-composing of everybody except for the Chief of the science facility on installation '03 was pushing it. Especially when the Covenant are shown to be more powerful then they should be (Jackal randomly having superhuman athleticism, pouncing on a Marine and killing him? Since… when have they been able to do that?).
But the moment an ENTIRE metropolis fully populated with people were composed, that is seriously too much. Why was the slaughter of an entire city at ALL necessary? I mean, we killed the Didact right after that, so it only serves to waste more people, and drain humanity’s population even more.
343i, why do you keep treating humanity like a pile of crap?
There are a lot more humans that you seem to give them credit for. We have colonized countless planets and even though most were glassed a lot of the inner colonies, the most populated ones, did survive. One city is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
The bestiarium I got with Halo 3 said we had around 200 million people at the end of the war… We could repopulate like rabbits though, especially with a medical field 500 years more advanced.
Well, I think a lot of people died before the events of Halo 4. Just think about that. In Halo Wars, Arcadia and Harvest fallen. Arcadia’s population is around 3 million I don’t know how many Harvest’s was.
343 doesn’t treating humanity like a pile of crap. The Forerunners were more advanced than Humans. Physically we are really weak in this galaxy.
