Here’s why I think 343i delayed Forge and split screen:
They are likely buggy internally, and there are several ways too go about something like parts of a game being very buggy before launch.
- Delay the Game. Pro: Everything will be at launch. Cons: Any hype is now dead and you basically have too start over marketing. The fans are mad because the game is delayed again and it’s all 343’s fault because they are already supporting Halo MCC and Halo Wars 2 and Halo 5, they could easily do everything too make the best halo ever with this on their plate. Spoiler: They can’t. 343i is human, and I’m sure that if Bungie were faced with this issue they’d do what 343i had done. - Cancel these features. Pros: None whatsoever Cons: Everyone is mad at you no questions asked - Delay these features. Pros: The features can be better, keeping most of the hype made for the game, and giving more reasons for the hype to carry into the game, and letting the core features, like multiplayer, be played. Cons: A few mad fans.Bungie, and anyone with any idea about game design and reception, would take option 3. Keep in mind we don’t know where these features are currently. I am bummed too that they won’t be in the game at launch, but knowing they’re coming makes it a lot better and easier too understand why 343i took this path.
