Because Waypoint is full of people who insult others and stat-flame, and complain whenever 343i does something or doesn’t do something, and want ridiculous requests like make the CE Pistol, a power weapon, a permanent loadout because “nostalgia”.

343 should respond, as to why waypoint is treated as a second class communication channel. However, I must add that it is possible they are communicating through waypoint, the site is so poorly laid out, that the information could be there, somewhere. If it is please tell me where to find it. - I do not buy the toxicity arguments many make, there is the same amount of complaining, crying, trolling, negativity etc on reddit, twitter, et al. - 343 should have a permanent thread, on this forum, one way only, from them, for announcements. - There are plenty of programs, that distribute one message to multiple comm channels (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Waypoint) to make it easy for them to communicate.

Reddit is toxic too. Everywhere are people that misbehave out of spite, downvote and hate on each other. Not a single post of mine (on old and new account) did not get downvoted on reddit to -2 before some people upvoted again. It’s can be totally insane there if you happen to be “caught” by the wrong people.
343 avoided reddit like hell when people posted stuff about the MCC daily. Bravo avoids any question or follow-ups to one of his comments if it’s about the MCC or stuff that could be worked on/ some nice sounding ideas. I have yet to hear about black undersuits after one twitter post months ago, same goes for file share/browser, company implementation and UI overhaul. It’s just easier to pick out where you wanna show presence, and where not.
Here however people don’t go out of their way to say what displeases them as reddit’s users, don’t share stuff from gameplay as frequently, which is always to make a comment on as a community manager or make shout outs to the HCS which helps 343 a bunch. Also and very importantly, communication is just much easier on reddit, you immediately get notified if someone answered your post or mentioned your username. Here’s nothing like that, you need to actively follow a thread to catch stuff directed at you.
All in all, I totally get it why they don’t even try to talk to any people on here and let the monitors handle everything. Not saying that it doesn’t suck, I can’t believe they avoid waypoint, their own -Yoink!- forum, as much as they do, but in the end it kinda makes sense.

Brav doesn’t come here or Beyond, only Reddit. Frankie makes appearances on NeoGaf. Josh steps into Beyond on occasion. Mostly personal preference there.
Now, I don’t go to Beyond often. Only times I do is when someone links a 343 response on their forums. And when Josh does respond on the forums, I have seen the posts following his comment as mild thank yous and casual questions.
Here, whenever 343 comments, they are almost immediately swarmed with outrageous requests, hate, insults… mixed in with the thanks and such, but those are drowned out. Waypoint is undoubtedly the most volatile of the bunch.

Second class? More like 3rd to 4th. There’s presence by 343 employees both on Twitter and Team Beyond too. It’s definitely:
Twitter (many employees)
Reddit (Bravo/ Unyshek)
TeamBeyond (Frankie right?)
Anything other than Waypoint (one person is enough)
And then Waypoint since there’s no communication at all.

Remember when people were saying they quit halo 5’s forge because the controls were different? There might’ve been that stuff on Reddit, I probably just didn’t look hard enough. Like you said, I think there’s more negativity here because there aren’t as many gameplay videos for people to watch.

This old thread really proves nothing. Op is right.
