šŸ”„ 343i, please pay attention. Poll, do you want to end F2P & Microtransactions?

Please explain the math, as none of those numbers have any context.

My point was that everyone playing would have spent 40-60 for the multiplayer to get in. I would have spent that. But with the F2P model, 343 has gotten a total of $0 from me. Likely that applies to many others.

$50 from 15 million people (probably more like 10 actually) people is less than $50 from 10 million (BP for 5 seasons, not including store purchases) + $300 from 1 million (whales)

Not including campaign owners either.

F2p always earns more

You can apply a BP to paid as well since that would also likely have appeared (t’s not very common, but there are paid games with paid BPs, like CoD, and Infinite would probably have it paid due to a 10-year service). Whales would have existed for it paid too, but not near as many as something without an entry fee.

That still results in a product that brings in a lot. Like I said, it was a possibility. The specific numbers that neither of us could pin down likely would have been what shows if it would have done better, worse, or the same. But I’m personally thinking it would have done just as well, and possibly better.

If it meant never having to pay for a single cosmetic again, and greatly reducing the number of griefing freeloader players and cheaters, I’d be perfectly okay with paying for the multiplayer suite in a one-time transaction with only the occasional Battle Pass as an optional purchase. It would be ideal if this base multiplayer was sold both with, and separately from the Campaign, to provide customers with flexible options for getting into the multiplayer experience.

Chief among their priorities should be to stop imposing and forcing cross-play with the PC platform, primarily because it’s extremely difficult to balance the parity of the player experience with console players. This game’s launch has proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt. I know I give 343i a lot of criticism, but it’s only because I want to see them and Halo both do better. As admirable as it is that they keep setting such high goals, they really ought to temper their expectations of their own capabilities as a studio much better.

If it would’ve done better, they would’ve gone with it, and a lot of other games would’ve gone with it.
F2p simply just makes more money, it is a proven fact.
If it didn’t, no one would make f2p games

False, the CoD BP is for Warzone, it just goes with the paid game on the side.
Infinite does not have a free BR mode

along with only paying in theory once for cosmetic microtransactiona and the trap of the challenge swaps.

Seriously people have their priorities messed up. So many complaints about f2p and micro, when the most important issues are stability and content such as maps, progressions, challenges. Who cares if there are microtransactions? Just give us more things to do!

with F2P we got less playlist’s to play choose on.
with F2P we got less maps to play on then normal on launch day.

and then i have not talk about the big problems with got thanks to F2P.
thanks to F2P we got a cheater problem that is never going away.

if you look on halo 5 and older we got there at lauch day a lot more maps to play on.
we got also no Cheater problem at all.
we got also more playlist’s to choose on.
and no cheater problem at all.

so yea there are a lot off complains about F2P since thats more the source off a lot off problems we have now.

Halo 2 and halo 3 had one more map than infinite at launch… Halo 5 had less, unless you include the crappy forge maps

ow wow 1 more map then halo infinite.
what good.

it got maybe less maps at launch but it still got there 3th game mode where a lot off players have play at launch.
and what all the old halo game’s also not have is a big cheater problem since day one what halo infinite has more thanks to the F2P formule.

to add new content and things in the game you need to fix the big mess first since new content is not going to help at all if you not fix the big mess first.

If the game was f2p and only on xbox, we wouldnt have an issue, so PC/forced crossplay is really the problem

I’d rather pay the full $60 and pay for season pass. I also hope the next Halo isn’t a ā€œlive serviceā€ game.

same here but sadly we have to wait 9 more years to see if there not going to make the same big mistake’s with the multiplayer what there have done in halo infinite multiplayer.

If they end F2P and micro transactions then they’ll almost garunteely cancel the game out right and shelve the franchise indefinitely.

It’s most like way to late at this point to make this change.

A little late, but actually true.

The BP also applies to Cold War, and now Vanguard. Both paid.

Yes, but you don’t need Cold War or Vangaurd to buy the BP.
And CoD games didn’t get a BP until Warzone came out (free game)

you got it wrong.
the battle pass system was all before warzone in the cod titels.
in Black ops 4 was the first cod game that got a battle pass system.

and i know that since i have play a lot off cod game’s.

They are making more money via micro-transaction vs paid game sales… what is the benefit in this? Both are different ways to fund the studio… so 343 has money so regardless if it was paid we still would be waiting the same time for content than FTP…

End of the day same result = Halo fans getting nothing.

I don’t remember that, could you share a screenshot or a video with it in it?
