as you all know HALO 2 is the only game in the series so far which has a good sword. 3’s sword was OK but enemies have a higher chance of killing you because theres a 2-3 second wait when the blades unsheathe, reduced lunge range,speed and rate of fire (slashes) though it cant be compared to how bad reaches sword is. that thing is terrible! i rarely get kills with it/rarely get killed by it, why do they make the sword worse after each new HALO game?
so hopefully in HALO 4 it wont be worse then it is in reach (i’m guessing a lunge wouldn’t be a 1 hit kill anymore) please make it like it how it was in HALO 2 again

Actually Halo 2 sword is 2 over powered, im fine with Halo Reachs sword i think its perfect. Good angle and faster swinging than Halo 3’s sword. The only thing that i hate is how you can block a sword with a melee…Really? its a dang energy sword!

The whole blocking thing doesn’t really save them.
Halo 3’s was the best IMO.
i wasnt the biggest on fan on reach’s either, reckon halo 2 and 3 had the best sword, however i dont think we will be seeing swords in halo 4 as the setting is taking place on a shielf world, so we will prob be treated to some new forerunner like weapons, however rest assured the multiplayer SHOULD have a sword

Halo 3 had the best sword. Team Swords was soooo much fun. Halo 2’s sword was too good, and Reach’s is pathetic.

The energy sword is based off of a Forerunner version of the sword i’m assuming because pretty much all their technology is based off of Forerunner… Which means that we can still have a chance of seeing the Forerunner version of the sword 
Halo 3 had the best sword. Everything about it seemed perfect. Sword blocking in Reach made the sword useless.
