There is nothing remotely engaging about BRs. The entire loop revolves around who has the biggest unfair advantage(armor plates, weapon loot rng w power rarity) and camps the hardest. There is no skill just a boring pure patience camping over any meaningful skill or relaxed gameplay. Gunfights are rare in a ‘FPS’ ffs.
Nobody wants a BR mode on Halo, sincerely the ACTUAL OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of playerbase still playing Halo Infinite or not. Because it’s boring and most importantly and especially as Halo Infinite’s development has proven to be, would be a bad allocation of resources that will negatively impact Halo Infinite. So yeah, Halo BR existing DOES concern me and AFFECTS me and not just something i can ‘ignore’.
The BR gameplay loop is a ANTITHESIS to Halo. It’s extremely foolish if 343i thinks this will ever sit well with the Halo audience, theres a REASON people like HALO’S GAMEPLAY.
Anyways pretty funny how the first Last Spartan Standing event died not long after the first event ended, should speak volumes. a Halo BR isn’t gonna be ‘big’ it’ll just be another FOMO BR that’ll die in 2-3 months. Not everyone who plays games these days plays BRs, there’s more than enough people sick of BRs typically playing single player games or old games nowadays because that’s ALL there is to resort too in a saturated market full of BR.
or Halo Infinite. The only reason Halo Infinite even still has a playerbase, miraculously still fast queue times, is because it’s not a BR. For all it’s flaws, at the end of the day because of the position the market is in, Halo Infinite has the luxury of being that one game people can come and actually have fun, it’s something different.
Honestly, where is this supposed BR audience? Kids or something? I’ve never meet anyone that actively plays them, its always the same everywhere, just guys who lost faith in modern games and would rather the old or wait till the BR craze ends see if actual good, fun multiplayer games start pumping, and Halo Infinite can be that messiah if its true potential is realized.
LSS is a semi-BR and i dont appreciate being forced down my throat, it’s unfun.
I don’t condemn it’s existence in fact in a way i’m okay with it, its just that i dont like it being shoved down my throat for challenges. I want to play HALO not Camplo.
To be fair it’s no where near as bad as regular BRs where the loot is scattered through the map with weapon rarities & armor plates to make fights artificially unfair & about luck, for what it is LSS fights are generally fair and camping not as cancerous, after all shields recharge… And for what it is, LSS should be where the line ends, no more than that. a BR-like mode should be a side mode, never an actual mode in Halo.
