So, I’ve bought Halo 5 the day it came out (collectors edition pre-order) and at first the game worked without any problem for me. but in these last few months since the BOSAL Update, the online multiplayer has been in decline.
the problems I’ve encountered so far:
- Difficulty connecting to a lobby
- loading takes a longer time sometimes (after lobby for both arena and warzone)
- Lobby music in warzone randomly cut’s out, while the game won’t properly load and after a few minutes i get the error message saying:
Unable to join
We’ve encountered a problem and couldn’t join you to the game
Please try again.
that is the only error message i get. no further explanation nothing. and after this happened and I press ok, the menu music cuts out randomly too and I am unable to play any multiplayer game until I restart the game and/or my Xbox.
- announcer in-game being late with his announcements regarding medals, weapon pads etc. (only happens in arena)
- no music or sound effects during the beginning of an arena match (no problem in warzone strangely enough)
- I am unable to play on the new warzone map: Battle of Noctus. so far every time that map came up for me I get the third problem listed from above.
- when the third problem listed above happens it has an effect on other xbox games i have as well, right after the problem occurs and i quit halo 5 i can’t immediately restart the game or start another game (Destiny for example). it doesn’t affect my apps on my xbox. sometimes after starting an app (Netflix usually) i can then start Destiny, and then i can start Halo 5. most times i need to restart my xbox
- I’ve had one warzone game where nobody was able to use any REQ’s or get another load-oud of weapons apart from the ones dropped by the A.I. only happened once to me yet.
These issues have become more prominent the more content updates I got from you guys.
these are my network stats:
Connection type: ADSL to modem, Xbox connected through a cable.
NAT: moderate
Download speed: 12,89 Mbps
Upload speed: 0.85
package loss: 0%
MTU: 1480
Latency: 173 ms
I know these are not the best stats, but other games (including Destiny) and app’s have no issues whatsoever with online multiplayer or streaming content.
I’ve posted on this forum about these problems before but so far I got no response whatsoever, and I see that there are a lot of people who have similar problems as me (or my problems are similar to theirs)
so 343i, please, do something about these issues. the halo 5 multiplayer is becoming less and less attractive to me (and presumably to others as well) to play. and please let us know if you guys are currently working on a fix or so. give your Halo 5 community something! these issues are starting to frustrate me.
hopefully you guy’s find a fix for this soon!
