Slayer (4v4 w/ visible CSR and no JiP) - Skirmish (4v4 w/ visible CSR and no JiP; Multi-Flag CTF, Ricochet, 1-Site Extraction, & Strongholds) - Breakout (4v4 w/ visible CSR and no JiP) - SWAT (4v4 w/ visible CSR and no JiP) - Snipers (4v4 w/ visible CSR and no JiP; includes Shotty Snipers plus Mags and Snips, but their inclusion should be map specific) - Doubles (2v2 w/ visible CSR and no JiP) - Lone Wolf (1v5 w/ visible CSR and no JiP) - BTB (8v8 w/ limited JiP and no visible CSR - aka “unranked”; map dependent, but modes of Slayer, Regicide, Multi-Flag CTF, 1 Sided CTF, Bomb Assault, Neutral Bomb, Multi-Site Extraction, Strongholds, KotH, & Oddball should all receive consideration)Weekend (or Weekly?) Social options: (None have visible CSR - aka “unranked”, all team-based games include a limited JiP, and none feature fireteam restrictions)
Heavy PvE (12v12) - basic mode; tweak AI Boss point awarding to this. - Heavy PvP (12v12) - aka Warzone Assault; plus, perhaps any new PvP focused additions too.Note: The “limited” association with JiP is to enforce the concept that the system shouldn’t add players late in games and if the score disparity is so great that a comeback is highly improbable or impossible. Also, players who are JiP’d into a match where the team they joined is losing shouldn’t be credited for a loss unless the team they joined managed to take the lead before eventually losing.
This breakdown should fit fairly easily into your matchmaking outlook by limiting the fragmentation of the player base amongst too many playlist options and their playlist population demands while at the same time providing an expanded amount of game type diversity to lessen any potential fatigue factor. An additional method to reduce any fatigue factors would be to continue adding maps to the playlist rotations and most importantly to prevent the lobbies from resetting after every match – this way players can stay with a lobby as it cycles through the maps and game-types.
Perhaps the Weekend Social option could be turned into a Weekly option instead? The Snipers playlist within the ARENA is probably the most expendable option I included; it could be transitioned into a Weekend or Weekly Social option if a reduction were needed – given the population will likely continue to lessen over time.

How is it too many? Do you think what’s already offered is too many? I’ve technically only added two additional playlists more than what 343i already has offered; one is an 8 player playlist (Snipers) and the other is a 4 player playlist (Doubles), but since I’ve cut the FFA playlist down to 6 players instead of 8 the total expansion of needed players is only 10 which I don’t think is that many. Perhaps the Snipers playlist could get rolled into the Weekend options to reduce that total to 2 instead.

JiP in Warzone “sucks” just because of that issue? Really?
The only thing I don’t mention is that I’d like to see additional maps added to the game. I’d love to see several maps built by the developers (not through Forge) for the purpose of expanding the map count in BTB; also, I’d like to see some more 4v4 focused maps and Warzone maps.
There needs to be permanent social playlists with loose party and skill restrictions(in an effort to get MM search times as low as possible). Then they can add party restrictions to ranked.

Yeah, I didn’t say it was a problem, didn’t say it was an issue. Saying it just sucks. Like stepping on gum, or bird poop on your car. It just sucks, somethings just suck.

BTB would be the weekday more or less social (aka “unranked”) playlist option. 343i should not be offering duplicated playlists.
I’d take him over whoever’s currently handling the playlist role, and the atrociousness he/she keeps pumping out. However, I do disagree with adding shotty-snipes into Team Snipers. I think it’s best to keep shotty snipes in the fun/casual/social/unranked playlists (especially w/H5’s sniper of a shotgun)
