Being not able to mute other players comes up every now and then on the forum but there is never a resolution on how to fix it.
This happens to me daily where I can not mute the chatter and there is someone who left there mic on and there is either, static, feedback, lagged audio, a baby screaming, an annoying player, etc… in the background and there is nothing to do to get rid of it other than quitting the game (which can lead to bans) and restarting the game.
I have my console set up so that I need to use a headset but also I shouldn’t have to explain why I need this fixed, it’s really unacceptable that one player can entirely ruin another’s playing experience and ruin an entire aspect of game play, and it’s also unacceptable that the game is glitches and allows this to happen. This really needs to be fixed.
As a work around just host a party and set it to invite only. If you wish to talk to specific players, invite them to the party.

However I still have this problem so the audio is just coming straight from the game and it makes some games unplayable. Thanks for the suggestion but I could also try not playing all together and that would solve it too I guess, I was hoping this part of the forum would actually be addressed by people who could help give a solution to something that should be an easy answer (even though it is prevalent and complained about by a lot of people). Honestly what is the point of a support section if I am just going to get replies like “well don’t use that functionality it’s broken”. This really is frustrating for me and I would like some help on how to fix it other than, quit out of the game and restart.
It is something I haven’t had a problem with any other Halo game or any other game for that matter and it really makes some games unplayable but if I quit those games I can get banned.

I tried to be reassuring with my previous post. Sometimes you can either mute or you can’t. It annoys me too when I have to hear somebody screaming down the mic or breathing heavily, where I literally just play the game in silence. Yeah the forums don’t see much in the likes of official support staff. If you look over the support forums all you see is me lol.

Luckily for you if someone else quits before you now, you can leave the match, only suffering CSR penalty. Not sure if this applies to warzone or not. Will have a look at the info.

Thanks for sharing the pain and responding. I wasn’t trying to be rude before, I honestly never look at the support forum but I was hoping that using keywords like 343i or frustrated… would trigger a flag on their side since I work in a similar role but I guess it’s a different industry they are in. Is there anywhere to go to get actual support on a game specific issue?

Tweeting might help. But getting direct help from a 343 official is slim. Support mainly comes from waypointers. I can only work with the knowledge that I know, sadly.
