So I was enjoying a visit to Reddit/Halo and saw a thread titled ‘You thought one Promethean in a Warthog was scary?’ and I thought, “Oh I saw that one .gif where the soldier hijacked a scout hog, clearly it’s a reference to that and OP encountered a similar situation.”
The link brought me to a .gif where a Spartan was reloading his guns from a recent fight as he headed towards the enemy’s armory with camo when a warthog drove by. The warthog saw him due to the Spartan thrusting and attacked him. Shortly after he was killed but, there was no credit to an enemy player. It was a pair of Promethean Soldiers who had hijacked a warthog and escaped with it!
Now we all remember the countless threads beating the dead horse topic of making the AI wonder around instead of being stuck in one location but with this stuff being shared it was obvious the topic would be resurrected as new evidence showcasing how it affects the game arises. Imagine how cool it’d be to see enemy AI that not only move around but can hijack vehicles driven by the players. Also imagine how terrifying a Mantis or Phaeton being controlled by an AI would be because the AI driving the hog in the .gif are better than most 'hog drivers.
If anything, give us some Soldier bosses that drive human vehicles to add more variety to the Warzone bosses and make them actually drive around the maps, not just select locations.
And yes, I’m well aware of Warzone Firefight but that gamemode won’t feature two teams of twelve people trying to capture three bases in an effort to blow up the enemy core or be the first to a thousand points. Also this could help with the Warzone farming by distracting farmers due to the AI’s random behavior.
