The problem 343i is facing right now, is that they have a list of muck ups they NEED to address, which include;
- Making The Master Chief Collection playable, and fixing at least the main bugs (Consistent party difficulty, frequent game disconnections, bad hit detection, faulty team set ups, etc.)- Fixing the mess that is Halo Channel (Horrid video resolution, menu music playing through videos, frequent crashes, videos being unplayable, etc.)- Compensating the loyal customers who bought MCC expecting a finished game, only to have wasted money on an unfinished product that they couldn’t even play for quite a while. In other words, putting in the Halo 3: ODST port, and finishing and applying the ‘Relic Map Remake’ for Halo 2: Anniversary, that Bonnie Ross promised us.Now, this may seem like an over encumbering task for 343i, considering they have only a year left to finish their next big installment of their hit franchise.
"But this could take up to months to address these problems! Even if they managed to fix all of these problems, given their time constraints, Halo 5 wouldn’t get finished, and would just end up exactly like MCC! "
Exactly, and here’s the solution:
DELAY HALO 5: GUARDIANS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
“B-B-But MCC works perfectly fine for me!”
Key word, ME**.** There are plenty of other people still facing these problems. Its not just me, there are hundreds.
“B-B-But I won’t get Halo 5 on the day it was announced!”
Would you rather have it turn into the mess MCC turned into? I sure wouldn’t.
I can’t say that I know a ton about game design, and that delaying a game just takes resources, time, and money, but I think I can speak on behalf of all my fellow brethren when I say that we want the aforementioned topics dealt with, properly, before going on with anymore big projects. With that being said, delaying Halo 5: Guardians would allow them to get to the bottom of these issues and ensure stability in the Halo franchise.
Please 343i, I know there are plenty of good people in that establishment of yours, but your incompetency and handling of these situations is killing it.
Don’t make the same mistake that Ubisoft made, and announce another upcoming game while their current product is broken and scattered being recognition.
I’m not saying you need to do this for me, I’m saying you should do it for the fans! They’re the reason for your existence, show a little love, guys!
