After seeing the CoD Black Ops 2 trailer, I noticed that the release date is one week AFTER the Halo 4 release date. That means Halo 4 will not receive the amount of sales Reach attracted. Think about it. Reach was released on 9/14/2010 while Black Ops was released in November. People bought Reach to wait for CoD since it was a month wait, so we got a very nice population. But…Reach disappointned. Now Halo 4 has a release day one week before CoD. People want to save money, and parents aren’t going to buy both games for their kids. That means that Halo 4 could quickly reduce to Halo Reach’s population within the first month if it disappoints! (100K-150K). 343i needs to come out with a new trailer ASAP and pay huge money to broadcast it. Put it on TV, because if people are more attracted to CoD, that means no one would want to buy Halo 4 except the hardcore Halo fans.
No they’re gonna wait for blops to reach its highest hype point, then release something extremely epic to take back the hype

It’ll be TOO LATE!!! =(

Think about a kid for example has 60 bucks and he likes black ops and halo equaly. He is excited for both but can only afford one. Halo comes out a week before Black ops 2 and so he gets the one that comes out first.
See my point?

Ahhhhhh… but most kids will want CoD because it is a more populated game.

Hasn’t stopped the franchise from being a powerhouse since after CoD4.
From what I’ve heard, theres an uproar of COD fans saying COD is turning into Halo. I’m about to check the COD forums(I have an account) to see what they’re saying.
Just checked their forums. Not too much of anything.

Reach was not a disapointment to most people.
And also, it may actually be a good idea to sell Halo right around when CoD is selling.
People who want to buy CoD will go to a gamestore, and they will probably notice Halo 4.
There are a lot of people who like both CoD and Halo. Those people will probably end up buying both games.
HALO 4 > OM NOM NOM NOM > Blopity McBloper pants 2
E3 is the best time to do just that. As soon as E3 hits, 343i needs to have an advertising campaign as big as Halo 3’s. This is the return of the Master Chief, for goodness’ sake. He needs a triumphant build to his return.
I think most CoD fans will hate the future angle. Every time I ask a CoD fan why they like it more than Halo their first response was always “It’s more realistic”. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Agreed. Chief executes COD with a head shot. CLICK BANG

…and the hardcore halo fans won’t buy it because halo 4 is going to be reach 2.0
eat -Yoink- 343i. keep halo, halo!
If it were April 1st I’d swear that Black Ops 2 trailer was a joke. It looks terrible and I’m not talking graphically.
COD + Mech Assult + Red Dead Redemption = Black Ops 2? Based on the trailer likes and dislikes it looks like a 50/50 for COD fans at the moment.
