343i/Microsoft, sell external storage for updates

So I’m really upset about how buggy the game is, and still is, but I’m also upset about how much HDD space I’m losing. We’ve got around 20GB of HDD eaten up so far, mostly due to updates in an attempt to fix the game which shouldn’t have needed fixing, at least to this degree, in the first place. I’m sure that the game will eventually be fixed, sooner rather than later I hope, but how much more HDD space are we going to have to sacrifice for that?

343i/Microsoft, once you get the game figured out and bug free, you need to sell external storage (exclusively for Halo: TMCC) with all of the Halo: TMCC updates on it, with room for future updates as they arise. Sell it for like $5 or $10 (I know you’ll lose money at that price…making money is not the point), make it convenient by including a 6" or 12" USB extension cable so we can just leave the cable plugged into the back of the console, and when we want to play Halo, we simply plug in the external drive at the same time we insert the disk. At least that way, we won’t have to give up so much of our HDD space just because you released a bug-ridden, incomplete game.

Just get a external USB Storage!

There’s only really been about 2 or 3gb of extra space used since launch. The initial day one update was to pull down the missing multiplayer engines that wouldn’t fit on disc, it wasn’t a massive bug fix patch. Most of the patches replace content already installed rather than use up more space on the hard drive.

And as noted above, you can use any external storage on your X1 as long as it’s bigger than 256gb and is USB 3.0

Shop away!!!

I bought a 2TB external HD. It works great. Transferred all my games over to it, easy as hell to do. Basically only keeping apps on the internal HD. The only thing that sucks is when you go to install a game, it doesn’t prompt you on which HD you would like to use. You have to go into settings and it only let’s you set one as the default. I remember when the 360 would prompt you and ask where you would like to save the games.
