What the title says. IF you ask me what they did to the Mark VI was just a jaw dropping WTF to me. There is concept art of the Old Mark VI and it looked great for Halo 4’s campaign but for unknown reasons 343i decided that the original Mark VI wasn’t good.
As long time halo fans have seen the changes from Mark V to VI were subtle but yet very different.( it is hard to explain) So I am hoping that instead of trying to make the new Mark VII into an improved version of the New Mark VI i think 343i should go back to the original Mark VI look and enhance that around.
See how they suits have changed.
Mark IV I love how Ensemble Studios had to work backwards to make this.
Mark IV (Forward Unto Dawn)
Mark V
[Mark V ****
Mark VI
Standard Mark VI (H4)
Cyro Mark VI (H4)
Mark VII or more specifically the closest thing to what we could know to be Mark VII. It looks cool but it isn’t the growth in the Mjolnir series that shows how it adapts. It sort of looks like it has a Decpeticon feeling to it and it doesn’t look like a suit MC would ever wear.
Just something cool
Sam likes Halo 4
They say that the Mark VI is able to enhance itself when ever in cryo sleep same with the VII. I thought it was nearly lethal to go into cryo sleep with armor on and it could cause nerve damage or something. IS there something I am missing IDK.

Helmet wise not so much but everything else is the same/
Honestly, I like the new Mark VI look. It may be a bit bulky, but I like the amount of detail and especially the helmet.
I do agree that Mark VII should look great. I’d like it to not be as bulky and more of an adaptation of the original Mark VI, but with much more detail and design.

Thats because the suit nanites allow the wearer to configure the appearance of the suit to whatever they like. And MkVII has only been confirmed to have been issued to Spartan-IIs

This would benefit from a retcon. Or at least saying that MC’s Mark VII is a different variant.

So large possibility that MC will have it. Good
I thought Chief looked fine in Halo 4, infact the whole game’s art style looked great. Amazing environment, Prometheans looked cool, Cheif looked alright to me, The ex-Covenant pirates looked like poor people (exactly the way they should because they just lost a war and are small), only thing in that game where the art style sucked was the Marines, they looked god awful. And instead of wearing futuristic armor from 255X like in the previous Halo’s, instead they wear tactical vests from 2010, whats up with that? Are they trying to be soldiers from CoD or somthing? And the colour scheme was terible. Halo 1’s brown looked nice, Halo 2 and 3’s green was perfect, Halo Reach’s beige was kinda ugly with the chunky armour, but at least they still looked like marines with their helmets. But Halo 4’s marines have an even worse colour scheme and design. The Marines looked perfect in Halo 3, green, sleek, and cool.

I agree on everything here but MC’s look. The marines in Halo 4 did look as if they didn’t need to be there. In Halo Ce,2 and 3 it really looked like they wore advance armor that was in the future. Like it would combat plasma weapons. Wearing the gear they wore would stop bullets and certainly not the bullets in this their time period. They need a more metal look to their armor, somewhat like the ODST armor.
P.S. Halo Reach only had marines on the last level the rest were army troopers and ODSTs.
