343I Make Achilles Variants like you did Helio.

Hey 343I

Since you went ahead and made “Variants” of Helioskril, why don’t you go ahead and also do the same for Achilles? after all no armor should be special or anything and everyone should be able to obtain it via REQ’s without doing the original requirements.

Also for the people that will complain about that Achilles should not be given out, sorry but I will use the same logic that many of you use to say it is OK for Helioskril to recieve this treatment against you:

“Oh but Achilles IS a special armor It should only be unlocked by those that put the time and effort to join a company and endure the girnd!”

Then people should have to put the time and effort to complete Halo 1 - 4 on legendary to obtain Helioskril, its the same thing.

“Oh but why are you whining? you will still have the original this are variants therefore they are not the same armor!”

Well this would also be variants of Achilles, you special snowflakes can keep the original one while the rest of us get the lazy edition wich looks slightly different because of the paintjob.

This isn’t going to happen and you shouldn’t get your hopes up that it will.
If it does, it won’t be for a long time.

These commendations for Achilles are getting companies together and keeping them actively working towards a goal towards rewards. 343 wants this and players are answering the call by playing more than they normally would just to get the armor/helmet.

It shoudl be done fairly quick, just like they did with Helioskril.

Hello Berserk wolf, Manic wolf here. I like this idea :joy:

Id like to see how many of the so called supporters of the idea of Helioskril being given away would support Achilles and how many would say its not the same.

I’ve already done this before, I’m not doing it again for some silly armor.

In addition, This argument is more likely just a spiteful response to Helioskril being offered to the general public. While I’m on the fence on it, there are completely valid reasons to keep Achilles locked behind squad commendations.

For one, I’m pretty sure I could blow through the legendary runs with the noob combo and be done well before my spartan company makes it to that feat. I’d argue that the challenge of getting Achilles outstrips beating four campaigns that have well-documented/well-known methods of making it through on legendary.

Do I even have to mention that the skulls in Halo 1 and 2 make this much easier than it was back then?

I am positive that they will do the same thing for Achilies, I can’t wait to see the hypocrites who are defending 343 now, lose their -Yoink- when it happens.

I did it before to, and did it again because I wanted the armor.

If you cant be bothered to do it again then you shoudlnt get the armor plain and simple.

This is indeed in response to Helioskril being offered as stated on the OP, and no there are no valid reasons to keep achilles “Variants” locked behind SC commendations, sorry but people argue Helioskril from MCC will still be unique, well the same can be said for Achilles, the original woudl be unique to Spartan Commendations but “Variants” would be different armor and thus shouldnt matter if someone gets the “variant” after all the original is still special.

The challenge for achilles is not a challenge, it is just a long grind that is it, there is absolutely nothing hard or complex about obtaining Achilles.

Also many (including me) had to run the games without skulls becuase MCC is so buggy that skulls (Bandanna, Scarab) actually made entire runs not count.

But achille dont require skill either, just need to put times in the game to complete the comendation and enough luck to get added in a big spartan compagnie( luck i dont have…)
And i think helio should stay unique. if not, they can also make skins varients for hunter, mk 4, mk 5,nightfall.

Because Bandana and Scarab don’t count, thats not a glitch. Those skulls voided level completion achievements, for good reason.

I know this.

But people like the person I was responding to said “You can use skulls making it easier than it was back then” no you can’t because using those skulls wont let you unlock the armor.

Yeah, I did halo 2 legendary solo. Thats harder then grinding some stupid kills for achilies.

Plus some can just get a free ride just by joining a big active company.

Achilles doesnt require skill, it just requires a long grind.

Exactly. I contribute to my company, and Achilles is a really cool armor, but it doesn’t require skill.

Mmm the same could be said for campaigns on legendary. Especially halo 2 lol

I think they made a movie about it actually, lol live die repeat?

This can be said for any game with AI on the hardest difficulty, it doesn’t take skill just patience. So in a way it’s a grind as well.

No, it takes skill. A person who is utter trash at halo is never going to be able to do the campaigns on legendary, unless they are carried by someone.

Its the truth, so I will.

I would like other variants based on other commendations rather than “massacre noobs with your friends”
