I have plunged blind faith into 343i. I’m starting to feel so much regret with the decision due to the ideas that they concoct for War Games. This heat that is under my collar is brought about by the revival of Team Snipers.
I love Team Snipers. It and SWAT have been my favorite gametypes since Halo 2. I was thoroughly disappointed when it disappeared after a week when Halo 4 came out. Now after reading the bulletins about it coming back and getting back home to internet to finally try out Snipers I have been left utterly disappointed. Why, oh why, has Snipers been revived with a Shotty Snipe loadout? Just like the reason why people vetoed Shotty Snipes in Halo 3, I hate giving people to play a Sniper gametype only to use a shotgun. Snipers is a gametype about the masters of sniping both long-range and CQ stylee. So why, when reviving this list 343i, would you opt for a shotgun for secondary instead of giving everyone one the classic snipe set up of, Beam and Snipe? Both are sniper weapons and it has been that way for so long. I know anyone that is a die hard Sniper fan is probably wondering the same thing. I also know they are much like myself and are shouting, “PUT DOWN THE SHOTTY, MOTHA @&*KE$!!!”
Seriously 343i, put down the shotgun when you make a list that reads Snipers. What is next that will be something to be pondered as to why you would do such a thing?
I think Shotty Snipers is a cool idea. It brings something new to the table, even if it isn’t a “true snipers gametype”.
Perhaps it could have less weight in matchmaking though.
Ok, on to the Beam Rifle. “Why was the Beam Rifle not included?”
Because it’s broken. You can aim clear off someones body and get no-scope headshots. I don’t want to see it as a starter choice until it’s actually fixed.
They have a variant without shotties…
I’m happy to see shotty snipers back in the mix again.

Shotty has been around since 3. It doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Also the Beam isn’t broken compared to a bunch Shotguns in a list clearly marked Snipers.

That’s not what I meant. I meant it brings additional and unique options to the game.
Shotty Snipers still contains snipers, only now you have a side arm allowing you to defend your position or weed out campers. Noscoping at close range shouldn’t be what Team Snipers is about.
Hell, people would just melee most of the time without Shotguns anyways. Back when the game was released Team Snipers should’ve just been called Team Snapshots or Team Use Your Rifle As A Big Stick.
Well i don’t know why you are whining about. If you don’t want play Shotty Snipers just don’t vote it, Beam Rifle well at same time it is wrong is rigth to remove because this Beam Rifle is not OP but is relatively easier to get a good shot thn the UNSC Sniper
Shotty Snipes is awesome. Beam Rifle is a map pick up and is only in some maps, plus there is one one at any given time.

Whining about Halo 4 is the meta of Halo 4. Just say thank you for putting team snipers back in. So what if you have to play shotty once in a while.

Judging by the fact that every single person above me disagrees with you, including myself, I feel as if you are over reacting. When snipers came out in the beginning it was exactly how a guy above described it, “Team Snapshot and Team melee”.
Now we can not only do the occasional snap shot, but we get rid of Team Snipers worst nightmares, the camper and the beat downer.
Team Snipers: The most heavily dashboarded gametype in reach of ALL TIME.
The fact that this got brought back while BTB:OBJ is still missing is a serious, brutal indication that things are not well.
Seriously, MORE Slayer variants while the one thing Halo always did better than every other franchise, Objective play, gets left in the dark.

Anyway I am glad you people got your gametype back, and since I lack BTB: OBJ I don’t mind laughing at the little things you people are upset about.
Try building a Clan over the better part of a decade only to find your key operations gametype completely ommitted suckas. It’s completely insane.

But seriously, 343I does something right and you hate on them for it. I am by no means a defender of this game, anyone else on the forum can confirm that for you.
But that’s just ridiculous.
I’m not saying they deserve praise. They don’t. But they are working. I’m sure BTB Objective will come around soon.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, did assault (or assault type gametype) like Halo. Now Halo doesnt even do it. Who hasn’t had that time where there is 1 min left on the clock and you grab the bomb and your friend picks you up with the warthog to make one last assault only to do the impossible and win it. If you only played Halo 4 then you don’t know and you are now the saddest person in the world.
