343i Isn't Done Selling Us Old Armor

Maybe everyone who was mad about Reach Mk V [B] sets being sold in the store are gone or something but 343 isnt done selling recycled content.

Hell will arise if they sell Mk V or CQB and they know it, what flies over most peoples head is that they also sold Celox, which is just a slight redesign of Scout from Halo 4 and 5. Im sorry, but removing the unique sharp top bill isnt much of a redesign and sure doesn’t justify selling us old armors. They only gave the free players the old ugly h5 redesigns like Enforcer, except they took away what made that helmet unique, and the redesign of Dynast.

If they can’t sell us old bungie designs, they’re going to try to sell to us their few good old h4 and h5 designs. I don’t hate every h4 and h5 helmet so this is a bit disappointing.

Im sure Im gonna hear “they have to make money somehow” from a ton of you and Im not going to entertain it for a monent.

Mk V helmet was already free to unlock as part of one of the events. I can’t remember which event, it was the only one I didn’t finish.

Got the MkV though.

The reach Variant and CQB are in the game, just not accessible

What they gave out was Mk V Zeta or something, isnt exactly the same thing as it looks much more like Mk IV to me and is for Mk VII core

Ah I see what you mean. I hope for your sake they are unlocked via events/weekly and not storefront. But I’m afraid you may be right there.

Scout helmet is in store this week. That’s one of my favourites from Halo 3 but I don’t like how it looks in Infinite. If Security helmet comes up in store I will probably buy it. They’ve got me in their trap and I’m sorry.

Lol, needless to say scout is my favorite, I actually prefer h4 and h5 variants over it though, which is almost exactly what this is.

Very very very few of it was good, but when it was it was excellent, and very hard to get out of lootboxes.

I’m not a Pokemon Collector or anything like that, so I’m not going to buy or care about 99.99% of the Cosmetics 343 tries to sell. I like what I have and I don’t plan on changing it at all for the next 10 years, unless something absurdly cool that I must have and swap out appears, which is super unlikely. They’d have to make Venator 2.0, a white and purple coating, or Hayabusa 2.0. I would pull out my wallet for those, but nothing else. I’m not just going to buy stuff just to buy stuff if I’m not going to use it all the time. I’ve been using ZVEZDA since day 1 and have no plans to change it. I wouldn’t be surprised if 10 years go by and I don’t buy anything ever again

People need to make up their damn minds. 343 we want old armor back so we can remake our old spartans. Then proceed to poop on them when they give you old armor.

You seem to be completely missing the point, I don’t have an issue with recycled armor, just as long as it’s not resold to me like it’s new content when it isn’t.

I’d allow them to sell the old cores in passes but not store if it were up to me.

You should be honored 343 is giving you the opportunity to give them money at all. True Halo fans are thankful to buy any and all product from 343 without complaint. Maybe you should re-evaluate your allegiance to our gracious providers.

They havent met the expectations of earnable coatings they set during the MP tease so I’m inclined to say no unless theres a good reason why its paid for.
I was gonna make a post on the abysmal coating situation as well.

One armor I’d pay for right now is Achilles and haunted helmet, and I don’t even want to tell you what I’d spend on them.

Haunted in my gatekeeping opinion should only be there for dedicated members who have proven a devotion or skill in the game, not sold, because the coolness factor will completely be lost otherwise .

Achilles is pretty alright in my book, the body would probably need to be completely redesigned, or be earnable. 1 of those 2.

And it might sound dumb to some people but if 343 is gonna take this IP and run with it they’re gonna also be running with my expectations set by the games that came before theirs.

I won’t argue that matter, I’ve achieved 152, inheritor twice, 5 star general that went back down to 4 star and so on

Oh and yes I got Achilles in Halo 5 on my other main account, I started leveling over on this one

I really don’t understand why they don’t go back and use Spartan companies to bring back the social environment and bring back commendations in general to unlock things :thinking:

Mad props, I never reached max rank on reach (enabling live reset my rank but also it wouldnt let me do weekly challenges), but im working on 152 rn.

I just dont want to see haunteds all the time like I do on MCC, because then it becomes hayabusa levels of infamous, there has to be some meaning behind it otherwise it becomes overused and greatly devalues it and its very stand outish looks.

Think it has something to do with it being incorporated into the old waypoint forums, which are gone, I won’t get into why its gone however.

Commendations, Spartan companies, LASO, and Spartan rank/level in Halo infinite would do wonders for this game
