I’d like to start with saying I only played Majestic for about a hour (all the time I had yesterday) but it was phenomenal. The maps are arena styled and feel like older halo’s and I can’t stress this enough…map default weapons! I actually really like the personal ordinance element when the map forces map control for weapons. It seems 343 really listened to the feedback from I’d say 90% of the community on this one and on behalf of every classic halo gamer, Thank you 343.
Not only does the Majestic map pack give me hope in the turn around of Halo 4 but also in trusting 343’s decisions more. With the recent implement of Team Throwdown in addition to how Majestic was developed it seems 343 is starting to go back to Halo’s roots and the more competitive scene that I’m we’re too. I’m happy about them recognizing CSR is important, even though it’s not visible in-game rendering it completely useless but it is a step in the right mindset of creating a thriving multiplayer experience.
With the recent first TU, I was a little disappointed it only addressed bugs but the bolt shot nerf was something desperately needed. Hopefully, with enough pressure they will adjust the DMR and the primary weapons will all be viable.
I’m impressed by the almost abrupt turn around 343 has taken on managing the game but it’s better late than never. Transparency is key here 343, we need communication, an idea of what is happening and see what the community wants put into action. The communication side is still very lacking and we as the community need more involvement in what is happening. Boltshot nerf threads ran rampant for months that could of easily been stifled by confirming with us long ago that it would be adjusted in the first TU. Telling us what upcoming changes & fixes before they happen is more comforting than releasing the change just a week before hand. A time frame is better than no time frame.
In short, Thank you for Team Snipers, Doubles, Throwback & Majestic map pack. It seems the communities voice is being heard, if not spoken back to, and we are heading back to what Halo really is.
Thank you 343 and keep up the good work, you have earned some of my trust that was never there since you took over Bungie.
I haven’t really been able to sit down and get a good session in with the new maps, but I was able to play a couple matches this morning. The maps are really good, and they gave me some of the most intense matches I’ve played on Halo 4 so far. The set spawns for certain power weapons, the general layout of the maps. I never want these playlists to go away.

Hopefully they don’t. If enough people play them I’m hoping for the maps set up to spill over into the current playlists.

False credit. Certain Affinity made the maps and were responsible for the MP side of this game. Thank them and also bash them for doing a good job on the maps, but terrible half -Yoinked!- job on the netcode. Give me some non-laggy/non-host advantage matches on Majestic and I’ll be satisfied cause I love the maps but hate that I can barely play on them without going through some sort of lag Every. Single. Game, and unfortunately… it’s only Majestic this happens to me on.
