343i has shown their true colors and is now using the title of HALO as a cash grab

343’s servers are indecent! games with high ping and cheater everywhere it is impossible to play, you would have to rewrite the whole game from scratch

Maybe they should, or leave it to a much better studio. A few come to mind, but just naming them gets you post hidden from our lovely modderators. No problem blocking feedback, but cant tell us the truth as to why you messed up 20 years worth of gaming. Its like being married for over 20 years, then you come home from work one day and poof. She took everything and left. No note, no letter, no phone call or text. Just gone. Thanks 343, you’re no different than my ex-wife :unamused:

Precisely, which is why I ignore the opinion of anyone who complains about ‘bad’ or ‘predatory’ microtransactions, which implies there are ‘good’ and ‘non-predatory’ microtransactions, which is absurd.

All of that is great stuff and 100% agree.

I wont play this trash of a game with Halo slapped on it until the De-Sync Issues are resolved.

Until then, @343 wont get no gameplay from our crew.

Well, haven’t looked into the thread quite a while, but the overall tone didn’t change as it seems, proving somewhat that 343 simply don’t care enough.

Here is the thing: Infinite will be out one year soon, after an one year delay, and it still ist WAY behind its predecessors in terms of playable content (gamemodes, Playlists, maps, Forge, Coop - you know, the stuff that makes a game a game). No Halo game in the history of the franchise had so little content to offer like Infinite - not for release and certainly not a year after.

343’s decision for F2P was a solely monetary one, fueled by other games like Fortnite etc - little playable content which is hard to make and more visual content, that a big team can get out in a comparably small time frame(color schemes…guys that’s quite literally some clicks if planned out right with current creation Tools like substance Designer/Painter).
And they even got to hide skins fans loved for decades and got for free earlier behind a nifty paywall, because that’s the easy way to even get some die-hard fans to pay extra cash.

And while it is perfectly fine to have purely cosmetic customizations to make some money out of a F2P Game (i still didn’t pay a single dime on these), people need to be aware how much MORE Money they actually have to pay to get even a small part of what would have been covered by paying 60 bucks only a few years earlier. Plus, they are also let down in actual game content and instead flooded with useless customizations which you can surely collect, but probably will never use and surely hardly ever see in-game.
It is not hating on the F2P-model in general, it is talking about how 343 took this model and perverted it into an abomination they use to ride on the credit cards of naive players who are not even aware that they are permanently being robbed of actually valuable content which is constantly delayed again and again (or turned down like splitscreen coop - a promise made back during H5 which lacked the same and was harshly critisized for).

I just wonder how long they’ll be able to keep this up before it comes crashing on them. And to be clear, this is a management decision, not a programmer or artist decision.

343 has crossed the line. They don’t listen to the majority of us fans. They don’t listen to any feedback. Their silence and lack of response to the backlash is making things worse. They have poor management, the devs aren’t to blame though, just the upper management. Microsoft needs to step up.

What’s worse about the cancellation of split screen is I saw a Twitter user mentioning that he wanted to play Halo Infinite on Split Screen with his father, but never got the chance at launch, and his father passed away shortly after, never getting the chance to enjoy Halo Infinite Campaign with his father.

That’s just horrible, would be nice if WE GOT A PROMISED FEATURE, I feel bad for whoever had that happen to them.

I saw that, too. It was pretty sad.

343 has about two weeks to maybe, just maybe, turn this all around.

I don’t mind putting money into a game post launch. But it is truly unfortunate what has become of not just halo, but many modern games. I have to believe that theres corporate interest pushing this onto the devs especially looking at mcc compared to infinite. infinite is clearly the under-supported cash-cow that everyone loves to rag on. sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for petty reasons. But mcc is like peak halo, or at least as close as you can get to it in todays world of gaming. This wasnt always the case. Mcc was pretty bare bones and not very good at first. but as it exists today, it’s damn near perfect. A collection of fantastic games, massive multiplayer library, a wide array of customization, match xp based progression, its season passes are free and items are earned via points earned from challenges and leveling. Even the shop they added that rotates items is fine bc its not the main feature of customization, its like poses and halo 2 stuff and a couple bundles. Fomo? sure but not like infinite.

I will say that i think infinite’s paid system is an improvement from halo 5 req packs. Req packs were awful online gambling disguised reskinned for halo. atleast with infinite’s shop i can see and buy what i want. catalog would be better, but its not the worst we’ve seen.

I’m buying whatever I want my dude
Chill out
