343i has shown their true colors and is now using the title of HALO as a cash grab

343 have been cash grabbing and milking the life out of what was a great franchise since they got there hamds on it! With all there marketing and leaving huge plotholes in the games which can only be explained if your purchase books and other sideline marketing crap! And now turning there game into a fortnite copy!

Get over it. 343 is nothing less than any of the other devs out there today. It is the current model for games. If you want this to stop you better tell the kids to stop using your credit card to buy skins.

As a kid I loved Halo 2 more than any other game. Halo 3 was pretty good too. Haven’t liked the gameplay in a Halo for many years… until infinite came out. I love the gameplay… but the game in total feels very small compared to what we got over a decade ago… Less maps… less customization (i have to pay for certain colors)… terrible ranking system… bad UI/UX… horrible desync… no forge… no overall progression system… It’s just… so lacking in every area other than gameplay… which is good because that’s the most important part but they have a lot of work to do before I’m ready to spend more than a $10 battlepass… which honestly isn’t even really worth it…

Back July 29th sketch made a comment that the team was looking into opening up the cores for cross customization, in response to someone being concerned that customization was going to be a poopfest.
He said the team was looking into it. Lol.

Seriously who was behind the Decision of the store… Like that person needs to get a snack upside the head…

The decision to not have in game currency that is earnable through gameplay.

Seeing how the game launch with the progression system. They had prior to the change, and the no in game currency leads me to believe that Halo was intended to be a rotating revenue cash cow.

Where every aspect of the multiplayer was designed to push you to the store.

Not hey here’s our game and here is a store with some nice content if you care to buy it

Like nope it’s hey here’s a progression system that’s primarily acneivable only through Challenge completion… We also offer challenge swaps for sale.

There is round XP and we offer XP boost. It runout in real time, hears to the game loading quick enough… and not wasting your XP boost.

Oh you like cosmetics, here’s a battle pass with 60% cosmetics where each one is locked exactly to one core… So yay customize. It only within these restrictive parameters that we carefully created to be able to sell you the same.items for each core and further decrease your net worth.

Also you have to buy the entire bundle… No other option.

Oh and the in game credits are not earnable in game … only debit and credit cards earn you in game credits.

Yea we know that there is great examples of how to create a healthy store ecosystem that both generates revenue and allows players to get what they want within reason… But we are going to put a 343 spin on it …

They will look into it, it will be ready in February, but will hold it off until season 2 … may 2022… So they can have MORE content…

Also CO OP campaign would probably be ready by March… But they will also wait till season 2… Cus according to 343, late assignments count as New content .

U know whats dumb is that they say its free but people who bought the campaign basically paid full price for the game. Its just for name sake that they say its free. whats even worst is that they treat people who bought this game trash, no proper achievements, no customization, noting…

I remember in 2019 making a waypoint post saying ā€œPlease 343, don’t ruin this game with microtransactions like Halo 5ā€ā€¦ I’d like to rebut that request, Halo 5 microtransactions actually seem pretty good now lmao

It sucks because she is most likely the source of many problems, ever since she came aboard halo has been chasing trends and money

Looking into how to monetize it more likely. 343s approach to this game is ā€œwhy do something for free if some idiot will buy twoā€

I don’t like this argument of ā€˜the whole industry does it, why not’ type deal. There’s still game companies out there with merit and ethics.

From wikipedia:

Whataboutism or whataboutery (as in ā€œwhat about…?ā€) is a variant of the tu quoque] logical fallacy, which attempts to discredit an opponent’s position by charging hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving the argument.

Yup that’s why they took 50 of then60 default colors from Halo 5 and locked them behind a paywall and are selling them more than once, because some dude is willing to buy basic red 3 times to have 1 for each armor core.

The game is lacking so much content it’s a joke, no Commendations, in depth stats menu, terrible ranking system, not enough rewards for gameplay, no forge. The multiplayer has been out for 2 months & no new maps or big game types, come on 343 sort yourselves out been making this for 6 years, you know what works & the community want in a good halo game so sort it out.

Oh man, business uses their product to make money; scandal!

Couldn’t have said it better myself, I definitely miss those days of grinding on halo 3 and reach.
I won’t be buying any cosmetics, or spending real money until these issues are addressed.
I’ve already purchased the battle pass, but that was because it was free to play. I think of it as a donation to keep bringing in new content.
Definitely not spending $20 on an armour set you can’t even customize or change up, that’s insane…

There’s a difference between designing the best product you can, because you know the best you can make will sell, and making a product explicitly to make money. Yeah, every game company ultimately wants to make money, but the steps they take to get there aren’t always the same.

Destiny 2 operates the exact same way. Its a business, not a charity.
