343i, give us Firefight D***it!

Do not purposely bypass the profanity filter. This includes thread titles.

Your game needs PvE experiences (that aren’t with another team of actual players trying to kill you). Campaign and Spartan Ops fights are always scripted… You have 8 strong voice actors for Blue Team and Osiris, not to mention all those other amazing voices in the game to use for Firefight voices… You haven’t given us Firefight in the MCC by not giving us Halo Reach, and not giving us Halo 3 ODST’s primary mode… You have Buck in the game, and he has only been in games that had firefight…
What the hell are you waiting for 343I?! Start making us Firefight Naoooooow! I don’t care if you need to release it later, Halo 5 NEEDS a pure, unscripted PvE experience!!!

Woah, calm down. They said that if there was enough push from the community, they would add a strictly PvE warzone experience post-launch.

Someone give this man some ice! He is very heated!

I want Firefight too but damn. All I read was “Gimme gimme gimme!”.

Lol, Firefight must be in the game because Buck! I was paraphrasing there but you get it.

That’s nice, but Warzone is also demanding of a Xbox subscription. I want something like this to also be for people who can’t connect to the internet with their xbox (not a problem for me, but want it for those who can’t connect for whatever reason). Or better yet… allow us to play Warzone outside of matchmaking, and let us play it also in custom games.

Also, I may be greedy about it, and demanding, but honestly the game is lacking in information, and content that isn’t competitive in nature.

Yeah, I understand where you are coming from. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

They don’t have an infinite pool of time and resources, so its a good thing we can see that they’ve put that time into making a much bigger campaign.

Personally, I prefer a campaign that is double the length of Halo 4 over firefight.

Until then, I plan to be an avid speaker on the demands for PvE for Halo 5, because it NEEDS IT. And no one can convey that Spartan Ops, or even a greatly improved Campaign offers what is needed. Those are all scripted, all encounters are easily done with the right weapon.

Go to a corner and think about what you said… You are happy with scripted fights, where it is effectively "go here with Weapon “Y” and you are fine. Shame on you good sir… Campaign is to went through a couple times max, then to compete, and make new and amazing game types and maps.

Go for it. I want firefight 2.0 too.

Firefight is not even a challenge, go do LASO

There’s a difference between a challenge and slaughter.
and LASO might go a tiny bit too far…

Saying fire fight wasn’t scripted either? If you wanted high scores. You would learn that firefight was scripted too.

> Wave 1 and 5 had dropships.
> Wave 2-3 would spawn here, here, and here.
>Enemies from these spawn points will always travel this route. Go here to funnels them so they are easy kills
> Wave one would be the weakest so we can use this time to farm easy kill streaks and gather weapons and ammo.
> wave 5 was the boss wave
>bonus wave spawn is here
>weapons drops are here and respawn times.
>enemy vehicles spawned on these waves and here and here

Literally if you were going to sit through the 2-5 hours to get that vidmaster challenge. You learn how extremely scripted and boring Firefight was. Especially if you used the stupidity of the AI and forced them to go where you wanted on the right maps.

It was to easy. I enjoyed Spartan Ops more for even though sometimes the map was the same. The objective was different and it was challenging on legendary. The only downside to Spartan Ops was that you had unlimited lives. If they could have it were we could set limited lives or made it like campaign where if everyone died, you go back to last checkpoint to add more strategy and challenge. Spartan Ops would have been far more fun.

343 give us Firefight please !!!

Why don’t you think about what you said? Many people believe Halo’s most important feature is campaign, including me. Firefight is great, but a campaign that is double the length of the last one and filled with alternate ways to complete missions, easter eggs, skulls, etc + Warzone is a better deal IMO.

I never found Firefight as repetitive as Spartan Ops. I’ll to this day go back and play Firefight more than Spartan Ops, however that is just me. To each his own.

As for the person speaking about LASO, yeah, that’s a challenge but once again that’s too scripted to me, and on top of that, I like a gradually increasing challenge, one that slowly pushes the player to increase their skill. LASO is “Okay, prepare to be destroyed from second you load in” It can be fun if you go in with a determined mindset, but what I appreciate about Firefight (especially a firefight you can change the settings on) is that it can be either a difficult struggle, or it can be just goofy mayhem with low gravity and infinite rockets.

If you can complete a mission in Halo by choosing path A, or path B, that’s awesome, and I give 343 credit for that… However if you mean you can run in and gun, or just try to pick things off from a distance then I’ll ignore what you have to say. And yeah, Warzone is great for what it is, but to associate that as a PvE experience is misleading, because it’s not a PvE focused event, instead it’s a Titanfall match, with AI adding mass to the match, not the main focus.

Also, I just don’t appreciate going through the campaign 3 times over, where as Firefight I can do hundreds of times and not get bored of it. That’s just my perspective, but it’s a commonly held one between people’s tastes in where to get their PvE.

well, lol.

but I do agree with OP, firefight was awesome, 343 could add Pelicans bringing in marines, odsts drops, longsword strafings, prometheans, flood (maybe just for firefight) and it would all be combined with the awsome H 5 gameplay, it would be amazing…

I think Split-Screen is way more important than Firefight… after all, we’ve been living without FF since Halo Reach.

In my opinion, it got repetitive fast.

The thing is. The difficulty caps of firefight. Once you lasted those few hours that all the skulls active. And beat it. Then it repeats. So it was completely the same fights over again. No new skulls. Plus.

That after hours of gameplay. I don’t have time for that kind of play anymore.

Probably why I also like spartan ops. Because I didn’t need to play several hours to feel like I accomplished something
